Kyle_Le_Don Posted 28 April 2013 Posted 28 April 2013 This video was one that got me thinking a while back now. You know when you were young Did you ever believe in God? For me it did from as long as I remember then at some point I Just changed and was a 99.9% atheist. From actually doing Research into all my questions I proudly believe again. You know what my stress everything have started to go and positive thinking Is cool. I'm not Christian either which makes it pretty wierd too. By the way I'm not fully quoting this video make of this what you Will.
Kyle_Le_Don Posted 28 April 2013 Author Posted 28 April 2013 You seem confused ???? Yours don't count ;D
Mark_w Posted 28 April 2013 Posted 28 April 2013 He's going to try and prove to atheists that there are no atheists in Heaven or Hell? I'm sold.
Haydos Posted 28 April 2013 Posted 28 April 2013 I now find it quite weird how almost brainwashed me and a lot of others were at primary school. I'm not sure how it was at other schools but in the 90's the whole Christianity thing was pushed on us a fair bit (Morning/weekly??? prayers, monthly visit from the local vicar, several RE lessons every week). It was almost taught to us as fact. We did learn about other religions but I don't remember 'religion' as such ever being presented as an option. Now I'm 99% atheist. I've no problem whatsoever with religious people, i'll happily discuss the subject with them and try and understand it more and I'm glad they have their faith. I don't like people that try and force their beliefs on you though and as an atheist I try not to be pushy with my opinions (unless I'm having a discussion with someone about it). There's so much about the universe that I can't begin to fathom though so there's still that 1% of me that for whatever reason thinks there's something we don't know about or understand yet, whatever that may be.
Monk Posted 28 April 2013 Posted 28 April 2013 Did your god create punctuation? If so you're on a one way train to hell buddy!
Parafox Posted 28 April 2013 Posted 28 April 2013 So many previous threads along the same line, time to take cover and peek at the responses from ElEmpty/Bonedog et al
BoneDog Posted 28 April 2013 Posted 28 April 2013 Yes God is real - in my opinion, or in other words, I don't want an argument about it! Not a man in the sky with a beard though. God is outside of the Creation, so it's no use looking for The Majestic One, you wunna find him. He is the greatest Mathematician, Chemist and Physicist there ever was, or ever will be. It's about time that some scientists stopped being so jealous of His Power and showed a little respect to Thy Everlasting.
Danizen Posted 28 April 2013 Posted 28 April 2013 I was raised as a Catholic but at about 20, I came to the conclusion that God doesn't exist. Recently though, I've been thinking and I've decided that there probably is some intelligent design. I still think that religion as we know it is all bollocks, though. I think that some very clever, well-intentioned men looked around at a world full of uncivilised murderers and thieves and thought the only way to stop the madness is to convince the population that they had to answer to a higher power. A higher power that is omnipotent, omnipresent and could damn them to an eternity of suffering. Of course, over the centuries religion evolved as a very powerful weapon to control people which is still being exploited today. In summary, I haven't got a fooking clue.
BoneDog Posted 28 April 2013 Posted 28 April 2013 When he gets to the point, ye will understand The Power! Bow down to The Grand Architect of the Universe yo.
Kyle_Le_Don Posted 28 April 2013 Author Posted 28 April 2013 Did your god create punctuation? If so you're on a one way train to hell buddy! Haha to be honest my motto is enjoy life and it's experience and because I truly believe he is there, again, I'll be up there. The Bible would have been tampered with... Didn't it start off in Greek and then Latin to old testament to new? Anyway the temple us within, which to most i soundlike a loony. God knows how I past my English probably from never going to RE. Mums always been spiritual never forced it on me but I guess you can call it an awakening. Either way titter/tatters finally feel guidance again.
Kyle_Le_Don Posted 28 April 2013 Author Posted 28 April 2013 If you ever find time to at least wanna have a go at finding some answers about the number 1 question on everyone's mind... YouTube - (ancient knowledge) The 1st video is about consciousness. Will seem far fetched but try and listen. 'remember no one can hear what you're thinking' probably a good thing for most of us on here ha
BoneDog Posted 28 April 2013 Posted 28 April 2013 Good thread, but I've got to get a pre-event dig in. I can't wait to see the Satanists and Heathens faces when Jesus rolls back in on a UFO. I will be laughing like a nutter!
Guest BlueBrett Posted 28 April 2013 Posted 28 April 2013 Cogito ergo sum. That's all I know. The rest of you, the world and everything in it could all just be constructs of my boundless imagination. Actually, the more I think about it the more likely that seems.

Actually, the more I think about it the more likely that seems. Therefore anyone in this world could be "god" in our own world. Therefore "god" is a construct of imagination.

BoneDog Posted 28 April 2013 Posted 28 April 2013 I used to think that the Sun was a massive spaceship consisting of a 25m thick titanium shell - sort of like the Death Star on George Lucas' smash hit movie Star Wars. And I used to think that God was behind the controls inside, with a shield of fire for protection. I've since learned that that thought was blasphemous, and I now know The Truth. Apparently.
