DanTheFox07 Posted 16 July 2013 Posted 16 July 2013 I Honestly don't know why everyone is bashing drinkwater admittedly did lose his form from first half of the season and wasn't consistant enough but we could do a lot worse. Perhap's Pearson could use him in a different position, didn't we play him on the wing when we first bought him, so that is a possability? I don't know what would gain by losing drinkwater for a small fee, unless he is on big wages which I can't see. Would like to see us keep the lad and see how he develop's as he isn't exactly old is he, so may of you forget this.
deanolegend1989 Posted 16 July 2013 Posted 16 July 2013 Personally think Danny Drinkwater is SH*T. People who think 'he was top draw first half of the season' are talking nonsense! He was 'ok' but I did say on here quite often when people were a$$ cleaning him that hes the weak link and that I didnt rate him. Watch the game vs Wolves where Nugent bailed us out...He was ABSOLUTELY CRAP that game, I remember saying afterwards how poor we were and how we wont go up with Drinky as hes crap(we were 2nd, 1 game in hand and everyone loving him at this point). Always Drinky and King or Drinky and James but no one mentioned James/King pre feb, I did. Then he made a huge gaff vs Charlton in the next home game and people started jumping on the bandwagon...I never rated him and think we should get rid..

dayday Posted 30 October 2013 Posted 30 October 2013 Ha ha ha. Some priceless comments on here from football 'experts' The truth is he was poor for large parts of last season, giving the ball away constantly ,passing backwards when there was better options in front of him. There was big expectations last season and I don 't think he was quite ready and the added factor of the boo boys did not help. This season he has knuckled down and as Youngy says the kids of last season are all the better for it as they have gained valuable experience. Shows the lads character really that he has pointed two fingers up at his critics,me included.

He was one of our most consistent players until February. He, along with the rest of the team then totally lost form. He drives us forward this season, just like he did last. He's a terrier, I've said before he reminds me of Lennon in the way he gets his body infront of his man. I got slated. His range of passing is quality. He doesn't slow us down, he passes backwards if there's no other option. I've no problem with that- keeping the ball makes the other team tired and frustrated. He is playing exactly the way he did for a big chunk of last season. Excellently

foxfanazer Posted 30 October 2013 Posted 30 October 2013 Player of the season for me so far. He's involved in pretty much everything we do
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 30 October 2013 Posted 30 October 2013 DD is basically a younger Wellens, possibly slightly better.
Simi Posted 30 October 2013 Posted 30 October 2013 Colossal performance again last night. Knows exactly the kind of pass that needs to be played at all times. Reassuring to see how well he works with whoever is in the team whether it be James/King.
