Gun laws in America are absolutely ridiculous. Indeed, I hate the idea of people being allowed to possess firearms of any sort but I can tolerate them if they are kept in the home. As soon as they're taken out onto the streets then violence can easily break out. You have to ask why Zimmerman felt the need to take his weapon out with him in the first place. What did he intend to do with it?

Mixed race Zimmerman = white. Case was fcuked up but under the laws and definition of 2nd degree murder I can see why they had no option but to find him not guilty. Law seems an ass and im amazed anyone goes down gor murder in that state. Gated communities are not ideal but that's a consequence of the world be live in, ive got family in Bloemfontein and if you are white in South Africa you wouldn't live anywhere but a gated community unless your want your life to be living hell. Completely agree. This is being made about race to deflect from the bizarre gun laws. 'Stand your ground'? What the actual fvck??!!

I can see why "not guilty" verdicts were given, but I'm well within my rights and well within reason to disagree with the verdict. Besides, this isn't the first high-profile murder case in Florida's recent history that produced a head-scratching verdict. The fact is the only reason that the kid is dead is because Zimmerman shot him. TM was doing nothing wrong and he's dead. When someone loses their life in this way, regardless of colour, someone must pay. What we have now is an open season to kill with a prescedent set. Dangerous times ahead. It's dangerous to tell people they have a open season to kill. Only the jury and people in court, had the full details of the case. But a lot of people are making there minds up on snippets of news and what the media are broadcasting, don't believe all they say or write in the media. It's also big news because it involves a black and a white person, if it didn't I doubt that we would hear about it.

What often happens is certain stories when reported capture the countries attention, often its the public who make stories into media circuses not the press themselves. Plenty of stories of white people being killed by black people (and vice versa) make the headlines and become huge stories. To say otherwise is simply untrue and will often be brought up with people who are blind to both sides of the story and just want to follow some unbalanced political stance.

Give me stats and i`ll listen (you listen to Dylan but you dont hear Dylan and you cant jump, honkie) ...and what would get your attention more? 5 people carjacking a couple, making them watch each other get sexually abused, torturing, setting fire to and murdered or 1 guy shooting another?

But surely you dont believe that the press is anti white, its not like black people are portrayed in a good light, and thats been the way for may years. There have been big black on white stories in the US I don't know if they were big stories here or not or what people consider a big story is, and what does it matter if theres 2 big white on black stories to 1 black on white story within a certain timeframe, to read more into that would be foolish and simply misinformed. Oh and is the zimmerman a real white on black story?

Sort of. Criminal street gangs are mostly black or hispanic so they are the majority of arrests. Organised crime is mostly white but there are not many arrests or convictions compared to street gang warfare.
