Anthony Knockaerts "Future"

Recommended Posts

Surely that's the response you are looking for if he is playing in the reserves? Results in that level mean fook all. Id rather him try and take the piss to make a point than just resign himself to mediocrity.

Absolutely not.

As a professional he should play as part of the team, respect the others in his team, the officials and the opposition, as any player at an elite academy must be of a decent standard.

Then he should apply himself as a member of that team, not with the attitude that he is something above everything else on the pitch, including his team mates.

In addition what does he think he will gain from doing that?

Do you think it impresses Nigel to see him act like that?

Do you think it encourages him to start the lad?

We need the right Knockaert in the team, not the one who thinks he is messi before he is even an established top flight player in any league.

Sounds like you have an axe to grind.

It's 'the Leicester way'.

What concerns me is the amount of fans seeing that as positive and wearing it as a badge of honour.

These same fans will rave about Gibson, worthington, glover etc, the exact sort of players NP would have bummed out and fobbed off.

Sorry to 'bump' my own post, but in my view, this is a serious problem.

A key issue for Leicester fans - and one of our massive limiting factors is this over the top appreciation of guts, running and never-say-die attitude. Whilst those are all positive things - to prize them above all other attributes and champion hard working mediocre players over those capable of winning games on their own, is a dangerous and limiting attitude.

The mantra is 'foxes never quit' but by not aspiring to be 'better' - look at it this way - many of you already have quit.
