Manwell Pablo Posted 21 August 2013 Posted 21 August 2013 Went to watch Snarestone Globe in their opening game in the Tamworth Sunday League Division 3 on Sunday (18th August). They won 8-3 against Edingale Swifts and looked a very good side. I would expect them to win that division and do well in their relevant county cup also. 30 photos taken during the first half online @ http://www.flickr.com/photos/rambler77/sets/72157635118442621/ Haha, I was at Meashem Imps on a Saturday with their keeper, play 5 a side with the number six in those photos, and know their left back although he appears to have had better things to do that morning as he doesn't seem to not be there. As I've told him, I'd quite fancy a County Cup draw against them to be honest, would be a laugh.
Manwell Pablo Posted 21 August 2013 Posted 21 August 2013 Ridiculous that Cross Keys striker has moved down divisions AGAIN. Greenhill Sunday > Prem fold. Swannington > Prem fold. Cross Keys > Prem lose main striker, others could follow. He should be banned, he's cack anyway couldn't get any change out of us. He's not cack is he, although I admit he is starting to get a bit worse he certainly wasn't as dangerous against us this time as he had been in the past. He'll be in for a big shock if he thinks the Vic will win that league now I've seen the constitution. Would not want to be playing my football in Charnwood Div 2 next year lots of good teams in there, how FC Charnwood avoided being sent straight to Div One is anyone's guess, and from what I've herd they wont even be faviourates to win it.
allroads1 Posted 25 August 2013 Posted 25 August 2013 Another Sunday league this morning, this time in the Burton League Premier Division - Moira United 1-7 New Inn. New Inn led one nil on eleven minutes, before the Moira keeper was sent off on 17 mins. The visitors converted the penalty and then added three more before the break. The second half was pretty much an non-event with further goals for the visitors on 51 and 76 mins, either side of a goal for Moira on 57 minutes. 45 photos taken - http://www.flickr.com/photos/rambler77/sets/72157635221518937/

They're really struggling for players at the minute could be a long season for them. Although glad to see they managed to pick up a win yesterday. League cup week, we beat FC Team Wild who are the early pace setters in division 2....4-2, great little win even if it probably means we'll get a shoeing off someone amazing in the next round.

It will be a very tough league indeed, 6 of the 8 teams could win the division. It'll be a good test though. It's awful how they've kept the 5 divisions with 8 teams in each. Should have gone 10 in 4. going to be a short season. Hopefully get a cup run on the go. Won our 1st game against Burton 3-2. Poplar next for us

Poplar next for us I'd been told Poplar had got a lot of Senior League players in which was the only reason I said I didn't fully expect Charnwood to win it. Having seen the result this obviously aint the case and I'd exptect them to do as they did last year and win it at a canter quite possibly without dropping a point, they're good.
Father Ted Posted 3 September 2013 Posted 3 September 2013 Won 8-2 this Sunday against Syston Rangers
Narborough_fox Posted 8 September 2013 Posted 8 September 2013 Playing for Thurlaston Under-17's, won 3 out of 3 so far (2 league and 1 cup), conceding 2 and scoring 17 so it's been a good start. Managed to keep 2 clean sheets in a row, so I can't complain. Won 7-0 today.
Uncle Albert Posted 9 September 2013 Posted 9 September 2013 Beat FC Hob 5-1 yesterday, captain popped his shoulder out, bloody horrible. See Cross Keys bottled the Premier League, it's an absolute joke. I think everyone who signed on for them this season should be banned from playing in the CSFL for a year, a Premier Division with only 7 teams in the League. Sileby Athletic next weekend for Wymeswold.
Father Ted Posted 9 September 2013 Posted 9 September 2013 Won 4-1 at Ratby Sports yesterday, good start to the season for our boys.

Slightly harsh, The few we've got at our place left in September of last year as they could see the way it was going, not that they'd give a toss as they play in Burton now . Whole leagues a joke anyway why they didn't just drop a division I have no clue. Anyway, Ivanhoe 2 Drum and Monkey 0, off the mark with 3 points. Decent start, although I have to admit if there are a few teams of their level in the league I think this season it wont be an easy league to get out of. Decent side.

munf1987 Posted 9 September 2013 Posted 9 September 2013 Beat poplar 4-1 this weekend. 2 wins out of 2 for us so far. I believe we have AFC Vic this Sunday Poplar have alot of new players, who play in the sat leagues but they had no pre season so its still hard to tell how good they could be
Uncle Albert Posted 9 September 2013 Posted 9 September 2013 Who plays Saturday Football for Pop? Not many I can assure you.
munf1987 Posted 10 September 2013 Posted 10 September 2013 About half their team do or did play Sat football. If they don't anymore they should because they have a lot of decent players
Uncle Albert Posted 10 September 2013 Posted 10 September 2013 So you don't know then.. Big season for us at Wymeswold, new manager and trying to get a younger side together! It's so hard now to get young lads out of bed on a Sunday and play Sunday Football. Lads nowadays can't drink the Saturday night and then play Sunday morning! One of the main reasons there is a lack of quality and less teams in my opinion.
Ashley Posted 15 September 2013 Posted 15 September 2013 Won 5-3 today against Royalist. UTH. 100% win ratio up to now.
Vardinhio Posted 15 September 2013 Posted 15 September 2013 A rare 0-0 today in our game, 2 clean sheets in 2 games but we really perhaps should have won.
Narborough_fox Posted 15 September 2013 Posted 15 September 2013 Drew 1-1 today, scored with the last kick of the game.
Soar Fox Posted 16 September 2013 Posted 16 September 2013 Fairfield who I was playing for last season have folded. Apparently they only had 4 players turn up again today, 2nd week running, so manager decided to call it a day. A shame really as on there day with a full squad they could beat anyone. They got rid of a few people in the summer and replaced them with better players (apparently) unfortunately these "better" players didn't fancy playing on a wet Sunday morning.
Bert Posted 16 September 2013 Author Posted 16 September 2013 We drew 1-1 against a team called Enness United who are tipped to win our league. We absolutely destroyed them as well. Just not taking any chances! Their keeper should've been sent off but apparently if you purposely save the ball outside the box it's only a yellow!

Anyone who "get's rid of players" Sunday League needs to have a word with themselves. And you can bring a load of mercenaries into your club and they'll probably win you a trophy but the minute the chips are down they'll do one, got to keep your core or you will fold. As Archer said 0-0, little disappointing but it's enough to take us top

How come you left them? We won 7-1 yesterday against Kilby Town and we remain top with 3 wins out of 3.
