The Year Of The Fox Posted 3 November 2013 Posted 3 November 2013 Been drawn in the Country Cup against FC Poplar, Division 2, CSL. Seen they've lost 5 from 5...anyone know much else about them? I hope you beat these. Sore losers when we hammered em 4-1 in the cup final a couple of years back. That Scott Maclennans only good with his elbows.

Poplar won 6-2 yesterday as well I think, We beat IQRA 6-0 at home in the County Cup, even though the Leics FA website says they beat us 6-3.. Possibly the worse side I have ever seen Wymeswold play, God knows how they are playing Premier Football in a League. Shocking, turned up 30 minutes late as well. Compass away on Sunday, going to be tough now they have got players back and looking like a side again. We need to get our best team out, that's a tough job in itself haha.

We beat Ravo 2-1 Sat with an extremely depleted side to be honest I thought we were out we had six out 13 man squad including me who had surgery on my eye on Weds and wasn't supposed to be playing. Credit to the lads that came in, although it'll probably result in me losing my place in the short term , big one against Saints next week. Knocked out Division 2 leaders Wetmore Warriors out of the 2,3,4 cup on Sunday, 3-1, so we've got two Quarter finals to look forward to, I think the pieces are finally starting to fall into place, got the league leaders Shobnall Sunday, huuuggeee game. Huge weekend all round with the Forest game as well.

I told you IQRA aren't nothing special. A team in our division beat them 2-1, we spanked that team 11-2 and we're in the div below the Prem. LSL standard is terrible, only two teams who are half decent in the Prem and that's Creation Builders and East Goscote, we would comfortably turn over the other 4 and give them 2 and good run.

There is a distinct difference between 'elbowing' someone on the pitch and going up for a header where every time one of the players screams and asks for a foul. It's a competitive game for men. At the end of the day, we've lost EVERY game this season apart from giving your boys one hell of a beating. Your Division must be poor and if I was you, I'd be thanking my lucky stars that you didn't get drawn against one of the other teams in our division, as it'd have been absolutely tragic for your lads. We played you in the league that season early on without a few players likewise at the end of the season. You weren't going for a header when you elbowed me from that throw in. I remember cleaning you up in the centre circle shortly afterwards though Perhaps your defeat was down to arrogance on the night? Not turning up in shirt n ties etc. The defeat along with your penalty miss must still hurt for you to remember it so vividly. You clearly got the mardys after the penalty as from the resulting bouncing ball you swang the second elbow of the night breaking our right backs nose! Yeh unfortunately we folded I am gutted about that. It happens with many teams once promoted to the Prem, something youve yet to find out.

Haha, there's nothing sweeter than the smell of BS in the morning. I actually didn't mind that you had one team for the cup and another for the league, it's not a bad idea. I just didn't like that you so venomously denied it at the time and continue to do so. I don't think turning up in shirt and tie makes a difference to a performance. I don't mind admitting we thought we'd win, as we were confident lads, we went undefeated in the league all season and smashed your lads previously, but not to the point of arrogance. It's not our fault we didn't have the knowledge of your 'two team' system. We didn't play we'll on the night and we're soundly beaten. We then played your league team, and it was a similar tale from when the two teams met in the league previously. A riot. I'm not surprised you folded, as I'm sure it's hard to keep the league lads happy when the cup lads come in every now and again. Lads quitting when getting to the prem is nothing new. Some people are good enough for the top league and some aren't and bottle it without even trying. Football is essentially about promotion and relegation, losing is part and parcel but some teams won't even test the water in the prem and it's pathetic. Congratulations on 'clearing me up' in the centre circle. It'll be a nice story for the grand kids.

It won the game on Sunday. I signed up to defend myself against a poor comment but more importantly to speak up for my team. A one way discussion is no fun at all.

I wouldn't call one friend telling another that some tool is writing rubbish about them on a forum is stirring it up. I'd like to think anyone would do the same so they could defend themselves. I was done with this topic years ago, but this person decided it was time to start again, I'm fully recharged and ready.

Fair enough, and you do have my sympathy in that league it's a monster of a division given the level it's at, not a bad side in it.
