I am firmly of the opinion that if you sign for a club, you move nearby.

Even if its renting somewhere ( they can afford it!)

Wasn't Beckford living up north when he was with us?

Driving so far each day makes no sense IMO.

I think you need to be of the mind-set that you are near the club and make an effort to learn about and join in with the area that your club is in.

A very streaky 10 points. I really wouldn't get excited.

Maybe it would've helped if he'd actually moved to the area rather than a 2 hour or so commute several days a week. It shows that you're not fully committed to the club when you don't move to the area, and maybe it's Ben's fault for not really settling as it doesn't sound like he made the effort to truly make the move down to the midlands.

“I used to stay over quite a bit (at Leicester) but I wasn’t really settling."

Well you won't if you're not trying to make this place your new home.

I don't know if this has all come about since the whole loan system got reformed. Players are moving about often on short term contracts, so are used to life on the road so to speak. Really the club should have a policy in place and enforced.
