hackneyfox Posted 20 September 2013 Posted 20 September 2013 Looks like we're stuck with paying his wages. http://www.lep.co.uk/sport/national-football/no-pne-loan-return-for-gallagher-1-6063086
Ric Flair Posted 20 September 2013 Posted 20 September 2013 Some mug will have him eventually, but we'll have to cough up the majority of his salary. However any contribution is better than none and then he's out of the way. He's not being used and surely he's not having a positive influence around the place, and why would he? He must be fairly frustrated, there aren't many players who enjoy never playing even if they stll get paid their obscene wages. They like their ego's stroked and they get that by scoring pearlers, something Gally does half a dozen times a season and very little else. I hope him, Danns and SSL are moved on asap even if we're paying for them.
Jace Posted 20 September 2013 Posted 20 September 2013 I would have thought even a league 1 club could contribute to 50% of his wages it would be beneficial for us at least that way he is playing football and we are reducing the wage bill, we could always put in a recall clause if required
hackneyfox Posted 20 September 2013 Author Posted 20 September 2013 Must be losing a fortune in bonuses by not playing. Someone told me at the Blackburn game that Konchesky is on 25k a week with another 7k per point, I don't know how true that is but it shows what kind of a percentage can be paid in bonuses.

How much did he boast he was on?
Bilbo Posted 20 September 2013 Posted 20 September 2013 We should keep him on the bench purely for taking penalties
Finnegan Posted 20 September 2013 Posted 20 September 2013 We should keep him on the bench purely for taking penalties Why bother now Nugent has found his bottle?
absolutelegend Posted 20 September 2013 Posted 20 September 2013 I hope him, Danns and SSL are moved on asap even if we're paying for them. One thing is certain, NP agrees with this and is trying his best.
Haydos Posted 20 September 2013 Posted 20 September 2013 Why does everyone seem to hate him so much? He's a mediocre player nowadays that has contributed in the past. He's not a terrorist.
AKCJ Posted 20 September 2013 Posted 20 September 2013 Why does everyone seem to hate him so much? He's a mediocre player nowadays that has contributed in the past. He's not a terrorist. This. He's more than good enough for a lower Championship/higher League One side. He served us well but now the time has come where he's surplus to requirements. He needs to be sold so we can all move on.
sylofox Posted 20 September 2013 Posted 20 September 2013 Why does everyone seem to hate him so much? He's a mediocre player nowadays that has contributed in the past. He's not a terrorist. Praps cos he don't seem to give a toss maybe. Oh and his huge wage he gets.
hackneyfox Posted 20 September 2013 Author Posted 20 September 2013 I started the thread and I don't hate him, how can I I've never met him. Why use the term hate, I don't see any on this thread? (oops just seen the post above) I don't blame him for not taking a massive paycut I just want him out the club as soon as possible along with any other player that has no future, once they go we may get in a couple more loans. Having said that although I'l remember him fondly for those penalties I'll also remember him for bottling that header against Chelsea.
hackneyfox Posted 20 September 2013 Author Posted 20 September 2013 Praps cos he don't seem to give a toss maybe. Oh and his huge wage he gets. Your fault if you believe that other players actually give a toss about our club, with a few exceptions most are here for the money. He's not to blame for his salary, would you turn down a huge payrise and extension to your contract?
Jimmy Posted 20 September 2013 Posted 20 September 2013 if it means Taylor-Fletcher doesn't sign great
sylofox Posted 20 September 2013 Posted 20 September 2013 This. He's more than good enough for a lower Championship/higher League One side. He served us well but now the time has come where he's surplus to requirements. He needs to be sold so we can all move on. We have no chance of selling him a loan is the best we can hope for. Or pay him off and give him away. He's to happy to sit here and pick up his huge wage to leave for less money.

He's not to blame for his salary, would you turn down a huge payrise and extension to your contract? I answered a question I'm not saying it is right or wrong. I don't blame him for taking the money anyone would. Also you praps right that none care about our club but at least they appear to care.
