If you are ever at Sandown races again nip upto the Cafe Rouge up the road, it's got a huge bar area and turns into a swingers place after 8pm.

Haha I didn't know that!  Classic.

I got a gum disease and had to have all my teeth pulled bar 2. I now have fixed hybrid dentures with six titanium implants in my upper and six in my lower jaw. I am just over £22 k poorer for the experience. :( I had mine done in Bangkok.:whistle:

Bad doo mate, that's hefty. It's a good job you're on 6 figures a year!! :)

Firstly, really sorry to hear that. I know how you feel. I got my two friend teeth knocked out by a crazy man in a bar a couple of years ago. It cost me about £4k for two dental implants but fortunately, the bloke in question was forced to cough up when I reported him to the police.

I'm living in Peru these days and am in the process of having a load of my old silver fillings replaced while I am here. I can only echo what others have said about going abroad for treatment. To replace something like 10 old fillings with nice white ones and have 4 inlays (like a crown) put in I am paying about £900. Christ only knows what that would cost in the UK - I am guessing 3 times as much? Loads of yanks come here to get their teeth done as it costs a fraction of what it does there and you know how obsessed they are about having perfect teeth.

I went to the dentist about 18 months ago for the first time in about nine years. I was expecting to get a pasting from the dentist, especially as I've inflicted damage from a couple of drinking incidents.

To my absolute surprise, I was told I have a "good, strong set of teeth". They then proceeded to 'polish' them with some sort of medieval torture device.

So that was 2k on the teeth and 20 on the nightlife.

I need 4 new implants and the other 3 front ones are chipped as well but unless you really scrutinize them then they look ok.

I don't understand why they can just crown the teeth unless that's what you mean. If so that's very expensive. My dentist charges about $900 per tooth for the preparation and crown.
