Benji Posted 6 October 2013 Share Posted 6 October 2013 Think it'd be hard to criticise the defence, can't really blame the back four for the goal and bar the clear chance in the second half where two players were free I can't remember them doing a lot. Kasper 4 - poor kicking and only really asked to make a couple of saves. He was already kicking the ball in his mind as it slipped through his hands for the goal - needs to stop and think sometimes.RDL 6 - felt a bit sorry for him as everything went down the left so he never really got an opportunity to break forward.Morgan 6 - great last ditch tackle on Macheda in the first half (I think).Moore 6Konch 6Dyer 4King 4Drinkwater 5Knockaert 7 Game completely bypassed the midfield except Knockaert who constantly came searching for the ball all over the pitch.Nugent 4Vardy
Finn Claw II Posted 6 October 2013 Share Posted 6 October 2013 The midfield didn't take control of the game. Kasper's error was horrendous but he also made two decent saves. Not his day The only time we actually threatened was Dinky's shot the rest was garbage. NP needs to make a couple of changes just to freshen it up and so that the players don't think that they can walk into the team. GTF and Schlupp in for Vardy and Dyer for me maybe Weso for DeLaet
alwyne webster Posted 6 October 2013 Share Posted 6 October 2013 Kaspers well in the news again ,another errror,he isnt doing such a great job,not only throwing silly points away ,but also really bad kicking from goal kicks.another bad point now is that he seems to panic when we are winning,in the dyeing last few minutes of games ,certainly room for improvment there ,we cant just keep saying oh well hes saved us some points, hes wants to come down to earth a bit and realise, hes not so bloody brilliant. Thracian Posted 6 October 2013 Share Posted 6 October 2013 Not for the first time we were tactically naive from start to finish against Doncaster and how midfielders are expected to shine with the ball being continually hooved over their heads I'd love to know. Doncaster clearly did some homework and while everything they did was fairly predictable we just didn't react with any sense - even to the obvious. Why Radio Leicester didn't ask Pearson why we kept hoisting balls onto giant defenders I presume was only because they're intimidated by the guy. But we did and we didn't stop even when it was quite obviously getting us nowhere. It wasn't impossible to play the ball to feet - Doncaster closed down tightly but fairly in the main - but no-one relished the idea of making runs into dangerous areas or taking people on. Even Dyer kept looking at space behind his marker and then abdicating responsibility. Why? Never mind that fans moan at him whatever he does, the guy should do what makes him dangerous and that's take people on at pace when we're in the front third. And given that the only way we were ever going to break Doncaster down why take Dyer off? We should have used both him and Schlupp and committed far more resources to stretching the big, slowing home defenders and creating the gaps for people like Vardy, Nugent and anyone else to run into. And that's just for starters. We had ages to really have a go at cancelling Kaspar's error but we never showed the imagination, pace or commitment. And that against a team who increasingly presented very little threat up front in terms of numbers

chris_lcfc_85 Posted 7 October 2013 Share Posted 7 October 2013 Granted Knocky had a decent game but he lost possession far more times than Drinkwater yet he gets a higher rating from most people...... Knockaerts corners were poor!!!! If that had of been DD then you guys would have a field day
hackneyfox Posted 7 October 2013 Share Posted 7 October 2013 Why do some people slate a player and then give him a 5. 5 or 6 is average isn't it?
Dickov22 Posted 7 October 2013 Share Posted 7 October 2013 Why do some people slate a player and then give him a 5. 5 or 6 is average isn't it? In my ratings, a 6 means a player did his job and nothing more.
Mythyaar Posted 7 October 2013 Share Posted 7 October 2013 Kasper 5 - Awful mistake, made a couple of great saves after. De Laet 3 - He didn't put a shift in, you need to overlap as part of the job description. Moore 4 - Terrible continual long throws into their giant centre back NO! Inept when he went wide. Morgan 6 - He felt obliged to literally come out of his comfort zone at the back and venture forward, even though he was embarrassingly clumsy, full credit for trying. Konchesky 6 - He didn't do anything wrong, took a few shots, tried. No link up with Lloyd unfortunately though. Dyer 3 - Love Lloyd but he wasn't at it on the day, cut inside every time, refused to go wide or took players on. King 5 - His distribution on the day wasn't good enough. He didn't release the ball to runners and either played it square or got caught in possession. He clearly does not trust Vardy. Would rather give the ball away than play it into feet. Drinkwater 6 - Had a good first half but ran out of steam and ideas second half. Again, would rather play it to anyone than Vardy. Knockaert 7 - His distribution wasn't brilliant, but his attitude was. he tried to take on their whole team at one point, didn't quite pay off. He would be a different player with one more equally creative player alongside him. Massive potential. Nugent 3 - Wasn't on it. Got the ball and not once did he TURN and take players on preferring the easy pass back, killing the momentum. Some terrible attempts at goal today, v disappointing, can't play that badly all season. Vardy 5 - Played okay when given the chance, but the senior players all freezing him out. He never was played in once from any run he made, must be frustrating for any forward. The dive for a penalty however, was a disgrace. A special mention to Schlup: 0 - Came on, didn't want to be there, didn't seem to try, didn't seem to care, rubbish attitude. Guest MattP Posted 8 October 2013 Share Posted 8 October 2013 Kasper 2 - Cost us the match, unforgivable error. Getting a few too many over the last few months. DeLaet 5 Morgan 6 Moore 5 Konchesky 6 - Fairly comfortable day for the back 4, Moore long throws have to stop, not dangerous. Knockeart 7 - Only one to come out with credit, tried to create. King 4 - Was he on? Drinkwater 6 Dyer 2 - Limitations really shown today, if he had no pace would struggle to get in a Sunday league side on ability with the ball. Vardy 5 Nugent 4 - Both forwards not doing enough on Sat, Nugent's form and sharpness around goal really being sugercoated by the fact he's penalty taker. Wassa 7 Thought he looked excellent, can see him and Wes really forming a partnership second half of this season despite how harsh it would be on Moore Schlupp 3 No idea what's happened to him, looks lazy, bored, uninterested.
