RumbleFox Posted 9 October 2013 Posted 9 October 2013 I apologise young squire for doubting your credentials, you are clearly a boy who loves your team, a trait to be admired. This does not however shield you from being a tit on this forum. You, like most, obviously didn't read my notes section about this not being an overreation to one game... These were typed for a purpose. If we are to proclaim how much of a 'good fan' we are then I will also state that I am a ST holder and go to numerous away games. Yay for me. I percieve our midfield to be bad because it has its flaws, it's not perfect, it's also not abysmal as has been conveniently unnoticed in my original post as others compile their gang mentality responses. Drinkwater for example has weighed in with a few good goals, credit to him but that, for me, is overshadowed my his negative approach to the game, his lack of pressure on the ball and also looking like a bit of an eejit, hardly an endearing character I'd say. I may not be liked on here, and that eats away at me night and day but I am right, in my own mind, as you are in yours so eat my shorts. Good morning darling. At the risk of using a term that is too young and too trendy for me that post made me . Wow Rumble, you're down with the kids. (And not just in the way you always get accused of. Damn those biger boys and their taunts!! I just find it hard to makefriends my own age, that's all). Just because you say "This is not an overeaction" doen't make it a fact you know? I tell folk I'm a hunky chunk of burning funk and that I have a normal sized penis all the time but we all know that aint true! (You can back me up JACEHOBBS? Your kindness rather than laughter when I unleashed it made me feel warm. Can we meet again some time?). You use words like "Toothless - Spineless - Backwards - Sideways - Inept at times" and the whole tone of your inital post is negitve and a litte bit silly. I agree with lots of what you said but come on my man, it aint as bad as all that. I think people get riled by posters like you because it seems you ONLY ever post about the bad things and when we win you go quiet (posters LIKE you I said, I do not know you posting credentials or history and am loathe to look them up). Anyway, it is good to debate but maybe try and see a little bit of light and offer YOUR team a little bit of support in tougher times rather than jumping on them? They are young men in the main and I am not a fan of shouting abuse in the direction of 20 year old boys. It doesn't make me feel big. Carrot not stick for me! Oooooooh Rumble you sexy beast! Come on you Foxes!! Rumble. X
RumbleFox Posted 9 October 2013 Posted 9 October 2013 Oh dear,I quoted that a little wrong. Rumble you Fvcknut. X Fixed it. Taking up too many posts explaining my error then my subsequent remedy. Getting nnoying now aren't I? Even annoying myself. Quiet Rumble, go to your safe place. X
Johnny Cash Posted 9 October 2013 Author Posted 9 October 2013 "Pressure on the ball" you quite clearly know what you are talking about...... Again elaborate, I don't understand your point.

Come on you Foxes!! Rumble. X Some fair points raised. Just because you say "This is not an overeaction" doen't make it a fact you know? This I disagree with, to me it is not an overreaction, I had that written as to extinguish the pointless responses stating that I am overreacting.

Yeah, I know sometimes one tries to defend oneself before the onslaught to quash any disagreements before they even arrive but maybe if folk tried to use less emotive language and explain their points more clearly (and I include myself in this) we wouldn't need to say things like "this is not an overection" because it would be clear that it is not and also people would not react so strongly as to overeact in a positive way. It's all a bit o' fun really eh? COme on you Foxes! X
hackneyfox Posted 9 October 2013 Posted 9 October 2013 I'm interested to know how often you go to games, Living the US i guess not too much... so i stand by my first assessment of your in-accurate original post, that you are an idiot and to be quite honest, support likes yours we certainly do not need. We need all the support we can get. Being positive all the time does not make you a better supporter.
yag101 Posted 9 October 2013 Posted 9 October 2013 If we signed Xavi, people would be going ballistic about how many sideways and backwards passes he makes. There is not always an opportunity for a good forward pass, an opportunity for a through ball has to be worked, and it also depends on that person in the position to make a good through ball making the right decision in that instant. More importantly, however, it also depends on the movement of who's in front of them. A good pass only works if there is good movement into space in behind which can be exploited by a good passer.
Corky Posted 9 October 2013 Posted 9 October 2013 If anything, Drinkwater was giving the ball away due to attempting more expansive passes on Saturday.
mackiepas Posted 9 October 2013 Posted 9 October 2013 We need all the support we can get. Being positive all the time does not make you a better supporter. Agreed, i just get tired of reading people moaning all the time, especially when there view point is from the other side of the pond and in all likelyhood not been to a game for years and years
_Fatboyslow_ Posted 9 October 2013 Posted 9 October 2013 If anything, Drinkwater was giving the ball away due to attempting more expansive passes on Saturday. And he found his mark with a few of them. 1 was a peach Dyer failed to control, but at this level that's what happens.
svensson Posted 9 October 2013 Posted 9 October 2013 Again elaborate, I don't understand your point. Its pretty self explanatory.. But, "pressure on the ball" makes zero footballing sense whatsoever. Please eloborate...

Johnny Cash Posted 9 October 2013 Author Posted 9 October 2013 Its pretty self explanatory.. But, "pressure on the ball" makes zero footballing sense whatsoever. Please eloborate... Does it not? You're a lost cause in that case.
svensson Posted 10 October 2013 Posted 10 October 2013 Have you ever played football??? Yes, semi pro for arguements sake. Tony Sealy was my manager at the time. Have you?
svensson Posted 10 October 2013 Posted 10 October 2013 Does it not? You're a lost cause in that case. Really please advise of how you put pressure on a ball? Sit on it perhaps? Maybe you are confused with putting pressure on a man/ oppostion.
5waller5 Posted 10 October 2013 Posted 10 October 2013 Yes, semi pro for arguements sake. Tony Sealy was my manager at the time. Have you? Yes ..... And I must have heard that expression a thousand times. It means close the ball down in case you really couldn't work it out.
Rutland Don Posted 10 October 2013 Posted 10 October 2013 Toothless - Spineless - Backwards - Sideways - Inept at times. How many games per season does King really have a good game? We all know he is a good player with a nice touch, eye for goal and has the club at heart but how often does he 'bring it'? Will Drinkwater ever pass forward? I understand the importance of retaining possession, patient football and building from the back but his instant reaction to reaction to receiving the ball is to pass to either Koncheskey or Morgan. Teams run through our midfield on a regular basis without a touch or a push or ANY pressure at all. King, Drinkwater and James are all the same player who play the same way. They offer very little going forward and in defence. No drive, no determination, nothing. All they do is pass the buck to the next man. This was the reason we lost yesterday. Notes: - Not an overreaction to yesterday - My thoughts for a long time - Enjoying ripping my arguement apart and betending everything is okay. Just belatedly picked up on this thread.... What a ridiculous statement, "King, Drinkwater and James are all the same player who play the same way"...!!! They are 3 very different styles of midfielders who bring different qualities to the table. Whilst Kingy did not have had one of his better games at Donny, he is generally hugley underrated and undervalued by a minority of fans. His through ball for Drinkwater's run was sublime & Drinkwater was desperately unlucky to see his shot come back off the post ...& with a slice of luck the rebound might have presented Nuge with an open goal. What I would say is that Donny had just lost at home to Burnley mid-week & were clearly going to fight and battle in the midfield so I would have preferred to see Dyer used as an impact sub & James or Hammond reinforcing the midfield for that particular game. Ultimately, "This was the reason we lost yesterday" was coz Kasper dropped a major b**lock. Hard to admit, but he has ultimately cost us 4 pts in the last 2 away games. Let's just hope that his confidence does not dip and he cuts out the errors. Let's be positive though, we are sitting reasonably well at present for the marathon ahead.
artursteppe Posted 10 October 2013 Posted 10 October 2013 Really please advise of how you put pressure on a ball? Sit on it perhaps? Maybe you are confused with putting pressure on a man/ oppostion. You are only emphasising the belief that all those who have played football to any sort of level are usually quite dim.
svensson Posted 10 October 2013 Posted 10 October 2013 You are only emphasising the belief that all those who have played football to any sort of level are usually quite dim. Thanks for that, wrong as per the norm though.
svensson Posted 10 October 2013 Posted 10 October 2013 Yes ..... And I must have heard that expression a thousand times. It means close the ball down in case you really couldn't work it out. Errm... no.
Johnny Cash Posted 11 October 2013 Author Posted 11 October 2013 Errm... no. You've been done my friend, back to your hole.
svensson Posted 11 October 2013 Posted 11 October 2013 You've been done my friend, back to your hole. Sorry? "Been done" by someone who is using an inacurate term? You can't pressure a ball, you can apply pressure to a man, the defence, the opposition but not a ball. By all means keep changing the subject, the fact still remains that you are clueless based on your posts.
