Soar Fox Posted 12 October 2013 Posted 12 October 2013 Has anybody seen the pictures on twitter of the Atherstone fans fighting with the Barrow players on the pitch. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2456277/Violence-erupts-FA-Cup-qualifier-Atherstone-Barrow-supporters-clash.html
Leicesterpool Posted 12 October 2013 Posted 12 October 2013 Most of them probably don't even know there's was a team Atherstone until today, clearly just a mob of scum who turned up to cause trouble!
Leicesterpool Posted 12 October 2013 Posted 12 October 2013 I think it's unfair to call them Atherstone fans, its clear most of them aren't regulars there just a mob of thugs from Atherstone who've jumped on the bandwagon, there's difference between Atherstone Town fans and Atherstone thugs.

The FA should come down on them hard, apparently there was only 8 stewards there today.Shocking organisation by the club.
LcFc_Smiv Posted 13 October 2013 Posted 13 October 2013 "Barrow substitute Greg Mills, on the pitch to warm up during the interval, was seen tussling with an Atherstone fan after being confronted." Next line "Involved: Atherstone substitute Greg Mills clashes with Barrow fans" Lots of media make mistakes, but really how does this stuff go to print, in such a professional ( I use the term loosely in regards to the mail) source.
purpleronnie Posted 13 October 2013 Posted 13 October 2013 Not surprised they have a bad rep, trouble when coalville played there.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 13 October 2013 Posted 13 October 2013 Ha I'd imagine Atherstone came off worse knowing who goes to watch coalvile.
purpleronnie Posted 13 October 2013 Posted 13 October 2013 Ha I'd imagine Atherstone came off worse knowing who goes to watch coalvile. Not sure mate, I know the Atherstone lads were fighting amongst themselves too, my sisters ex is from Atherstone the whole place sounded dodgy.
Ashley Posted 13 October 2013 Posted 13 October 2013 Millwall of non league. Apparently been nasty cvnts for a few weeks now
filbertway Posted 13 October 2013 Posted 13 October 2013 Yeah they're a vile set of fans! Went to the Coalville FA cup game and they came into our end at half time and took one of flags. For some reason about 30/40 came round to us and just stood there shouting at us until their chairman had to come out and tell them to go back to their area. One of their fans, an old bloke ran over to try and calm them down and ended up being hit. Horrible fans.
Karljohn Posted 14 October 2013 Posted 14 October 2013 I can confirm the little firm down at Atherstone have turned us into the non league Galatasary in the last few weeks. What a bunch of scruffy fookers though, nearly as bad as Cov.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 14 October 2013 Posted 14 October 2013 Perhaps former Coventry fans have found a new team to 'support'?
