Ashley Posted 19 November 2013 Posted 19 November 2013 I'm going to watch Arctic Monkeys tomorrow, any heads up on decent places to park and grab something to eat? Don't really want to being silly prices to park a car!
Vlad the Fox Posted 19 November 2013 Posted 19 November 2013 Isn't there a huge car park there? I went to see ac/dc years ago and I'm sure we parked there free of charge.
Lionator Posted 19 November 2013 Posted 19 November 2013 You park on a massive car park and shuttle in. There's also a shuttle from Brum city centre but it's a fair distance out.
Soar Fox Posted 19 November 2013 Posted 19 November 2013 Not sure about the parking question. But if you wanted something to eat and you could drive to Star City which is about 20 minutes away from the NEC.
Craig Posted 20 November 2013 Posted 20 November 2013 We parked at the train station first time around. Mostly an indoor walk down to the LG Arena. It's a lot cheaper than the official LG Arena car parks too. Fingers crossed we actually get to see a gig this time.
Bert Posted 20 November 2013 Posted 20 November 2013 You can always get the park up and get the train into Birmingham city centre. It doesn't take too long and it's direct too and from New Street. Just depends on how early you're getting there really.
BrummieFOX Posted 20 November 2013 Posted 20 November 2013 Yea there's a car park within the NEC surrounding areas with a free shuttle to the arena or it's easily walk able There's a Subway, Wetherspoons and Jimmy Spices in the station and the usual food in the NEC, although it isn't great and the prices are ridiculous. I'm not sure how much it is to park at the new New St Station but you could do that and get the train to the NEC. Better food options in the city centre. I'm off to the gig too, looking forward to it after really enjoying their latest album.
purpleronnie Posted 20 November 2013 Posted 20 November 2013 I pay 15 quid for express parking. You won't find me being shuttled in with the commoners.
