absolutelegend Posted 3 December 2013 Posted 3 December 2013 Same team for me please No need to change anything. predict 1:2 - Nugent ans Vardy
LCCFox96 Posted 3 December 2013 Posted 3 December 2013 Unchanged side. The only change I'd even consider would be Moore for miquel as we can expect a physical game on the road at a struggling side but then he coped well with that at millwall and Ipswich in the second half. No changes then. An early goal tonight should kill them off pretty sharpish. Need a big performance from both strikers and take every chance we create to try and kill the game off early. 2/3-0 at 60 mins means we can get some fresh legs on and rest the bigger players up for this tough month of fixtures.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 3 December 2013 Posted 3 December 2013 Good Luck Leicester City tonight Come on you Foxes!!!
Number 6 Posted 3 December 2013 Posted 3 December 2013 If we were playing a team with an ex-hero as manager and a Leicester fan up front we'd all be sh*tting it. Hope the same sods law applies the other way around.
Captain... Posted 3 December 2013 Posted 3 December 2013 I couldnt disagree more. James should stay in the side, for King and don't change a strikeforce who are playing well and scoring goals. Sometimes I have no idea where you get your footballing ideas from. Partly from seeing us completely burn out towards the end of last season, and our replacements being unable to come in and make an impact. We still have a relatively young squad and physical and mental burn out is very real possibility, especially with an extended cup run and a hectic Christmas period. Of course you reward good performances, but not making changes until things go wrong is too late. It is very clear where you get your footballing philosophy though Col

I wouldnt take james out, and if anything, put moore in for miquel and wood in for nuge.

You've lost me here.

No, I would rotate so as to avoid burn out, prevention is better than the cure, it would also give Wood a chance to play himself into form, so we would have 3 in form strikers rather than 2.

I also wouldn't take James out I would bring in King for DD.
Unabomber Posted 3 December 2013 Posted 3 December 2013 Does anyone know if there is beer in the away end?

What bloody burn out? These blokes are fit as fook and have just had a two week break. Stop talking nonsense and play your best team. At present, thats with Vardy in it.

NewburyFox Posted 3 December 2013 Posted 3 December 2013 Not stopping Col having an opinion, he was one that took offence at me having a different opinion. I also wouldn't take James out I would bring in King for DD. I think the one player I wouldn't take out at the moment is Drinkwater. He's in the best form of his life and he makes us tick. While King and James are both very good CMs, neither of them are the playmaker that DD is. When he plays well, we play well and barring injury, he'd be the first name on the team sheet for me.

At present, thats with Vardy in it. Do you not remember when the team that had been playing so well for the majority of the season just suddenly lost it and turned into the worst team in the league? I am not saying anybody is currently burnt out (read my posts again) I'm saying that players suffer from it and rotation keeps players fresh whereas playing the same team without changes will make players burn out. Drinkwater was one last season who suffered from burn out, I don't know if it was physical or mental but he went from looking very good to being shit over night. So far this season he has started every game, so yes I would switch it around for what should be an easy match maybe even try a different formation (remember the mythical plan B?). But I'll make you a deal Col, if I am ever managing a club owned by you I will never rotate an in form striker, but while I'm having a bit of idle speculation while I'm on a break at work, I'm going to continue my little fantasy and pretend I am managing Leicester City my way, rotating my strikers and winning the Champions League in 3 seasons without any player suffering burn out. Is that OK?

I also wouldn't take James out I would bring in King for DD. Just going to pretend nobody ever mention bringing Drinkwater out of the team. Why would we take one of our most inform players out of the side. He looks class this year. King was pretty average in the games after Watford away so deserves his time on the bench, as much as I like him.Vardy has finally scored more than 1 in a match so must be buzzing now. Wouldn't dream of taking him out either.
