Kitchandro Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 2 mins 34 is a many faces of Andy king candidate. To be honest watching that actually really hurts which suprises knowing what we do now in that it happened for the best. In what way? How are we better off? Still in the Championship. Finances in a questionable state. Lost our proud record.
Kitchandro Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 ^ Easy to say that, but in reality, we probably would We probably wouldn't have even been on the pitch.
Soar Fox Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 We hadnt physically won promotion though had we? and no pitch invasion took place either. And who wouodnt goad their disgusting fans in any case? No we hadn't hence the reason I said almost guaranteed. I'm not really bothered what our fans do, but don't become whiny bitches about it when opposition fans do something exactly the same kind of things some of our fans would do in the same situation.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 In what way? How are we better off? Still in the Championship. Finances in a questionable state. Lost our proud record. Henderson N'Gotty Worley Hayles Holloway. Kasper Morgan Drinkwater Nugent Pearson. We were shit for two or three seasons prior to relegation. We were diabolical in fact. At least were competing ever since we came back up.
Kitchandro Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 It's hardly revenge if we beat them in the 3rd round of the Fa Cup is it. I doubt there fans would be that bothered about it anyway. Fox92 is right they didn't relegate us, we were the third worse team over the course of a 46 gane season. It just happened to be that we got relegated the day that we played them. And if anyone thinks that our fans wouldn't have reacted exactly the same way as they did is an idiot. I remember being at the Walkers Stadium in league one when Steve Howard scored in the last minute to virtually guarantee our promotion. A load of our fans were goading the Leeds fans more than they were celebrating the goal. Debateable. Referees cost us several points. I thought we were bad, but bad luck got us relegated as much as anything. 1 point would have made the difference. As for the Leeds thing, that's not how I remember it at all. Everyone went as mental as I've seen a crowd go. Besides, I don't remember us invading the pitch before full time or otherwise.

Ive not whined at all. Stokes fans were in the thousands doing that that day. It wouldn't be the case with ours. We probably wouldn't even be allowed on the pitch.

We were diabolical in fact That's because we had shit managers, not because we were in the Championship. It doesn't really matter what players we have if we're still in this league anyway, does it? It's been 5 and a half years. What makes you think we'd still be fighting relegation now if we hadn't have gone down? Football goes through phases, that's the kind of game it is. For all you know we could have appointed someone like Pearson and stormed into the play-offs the following season, or within 2 seasons. It's very naïve to assume getting relegated is the reason we have a better team.

The walkers became a fortress and relegation forced us to get rid of the deadwood we'd stuck with for years.
JonnyBoy Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 why are people moaning about this draw?!?!?!?! beyond belief can't wait
Iwan is a Welshman Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 I really hate Stoke. Horrible day that.
Russell sprout Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 2:30 into that video Kisnorbo is sat playing on his phone. Was placing a bet on us getting relegated?
Iwan is a Welshman Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 Out of interest, we've won once at the Britannia. Muzzy was in the team, Scowcroft got the goal.

Walker Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 Absolutely buzzing for this, wanted this draw for so long! It wasn't their fans 'goading' etc that riles me, it's them invading the pitch at least 5 minutes before full time which still pisses me off.

And the celebrations in that video.. Wow!
Maybes Posted 10 December 2013 Posted 10 December 2013 Love that article. Sums up for me exactly how I feel. I remember the Stoke of old (only 10 years ago) pulling in crowds of 12-15k....
Iwan is a Welshman Posted 10 December 2013 Posted 10 December 2013 Was a decent finish aswell, looking back ild say scuhullps reminds me of him,in terms of big expectations but shite finishers? Can certainly see where you're coming from. At least our Jeff cost £5m less though.

Happy Fox Posted 11 December 2013 Author Posted 11 December 2013 Interesting No arrangements have been made yet due to outside influences Discussions have taken place between Port Vale, Stoke City and the Football Association regarding the FA Cup third round games. The situation is complicated by the involvement of both Stoke City and Leicester City in the quarter-finals of the Capital One Cup. Should either club reach the semi-final stages, they would be expected to play on Tuesday 7th January and until these fixtures have been decided there may well be a delay in announcing the date and kick off times for our Cup game against Plymouth Argyle Read more at http://www.port-vale.co.uk/news/article/20131210-fa-cup-latest-1227920.aspx#kaD0wZDWL7UCbM4c.99
