The Year Of The Fox Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 http://oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/thread/223190?page=4 Reasonably respectful views. They're certainly expecting us to sell out the stand and be vocal. They seem, on the whole, a fairly decent bunch on there which wasn't my memories of them last time we were there. http://oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/thread/223190?page=4
oohaahmustafa Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 Return Leicester to Derby £10.20 Return Derby to Stoke £8.70 Fair enough, no wonder im skint all the time.
Bert Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 Some people make you laugh, trying to be holier than thou. For crying out loud we know it wasn't stoke that relegated us.
purpleronnie Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 Some people make you laugh, trying to be holier than thou. For crying out loud we know it wasn't stoke that relegated us. Have to agree and so what if the stoke fans goaded our fans?, thats what football fans do it's no big deal, get over it.
StanSP Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 Watch this and tell me you don't really f**king want to beat them: Just noticed at about 2m 25s, do you reckon Kisnorbo is playing Tetris on his phone or checking other scores?
Bert Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 Have to agree and so what if the stoke fans goaded our fans?, thats what football fans do it's no big deal, get over it.We'd have done exactly the same to them if it was role reversal. But, it was god awful!
Basingstoke Fox Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 We'd have done exactly the same to them if it was role reversal. But, it was god awful! I agree with this completely but as you say, it was still god awful, I didn't particularly like Stoke anyway before this and I would still love it if we beat them.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 Would we really have goaded another teams fans moreso than celebrate our promotion? i dont think so
Larry_LCFC Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 ^ Easy to say that, but in reality, we probably would
Harry - LCFC Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 I can't imagine even thinking about the opposition fans in our moment of glory. We're promoted and nothing else matters.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 The thing that pi**ed me off more than anything else is the Stoke fans started to run on the pitch WHILE the game was being played. We were throwing everything at the game, fighting for our lives. A goal there for us would've meant everything and although it's quite possible that we would not have got anything in the last 3-4 minutes or however long there was, it was still a possibility. Them running on the pitch spoiled our momentum and we also lost out on some extremely crucial time because of it. If it was just a game against a mid-table side, of course it wouldn't matter so much but that wasn't the case and I thought it was incredibly disrespectful given the situation that we were in.
Soar Fox Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 It's hardly revenge if we beat them in the 3rd round of the Fa Cup is it. I doubt there fans would be that bothered about it anyway. Fox92 is right they didn't relegate us, we were the third worse team over the course of a 46 gane season. It just happened to be that we got relegated the day that we played them. And if anyone thinks that our fans wouldn't have reacted exactly the same way as they did is an idiot. I remember being at the Walkers Stadium in league one when Steve Howard scored in the last minute to virtually guarantee our promotion. A load of our fans were goading the Leeds fans more than they were celebrating the goal.

There were fans at stoke that day from the opposite goal to our fans that ran from there upto our 18yard box. (they couldnt get any further I love a bit of goading another set of fans during any normal game. But would i invade the pitch and ignore celebrating with my mates/other fans/players just to go and goad the other fans? no.
Deucalion Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 Would we really have goaded another teams fans moreso than celebrate our promotion? i dont think so I was at the final league game away at Watford where O'Neill's side unexpectedly qualified for the playoffs while relegating Watford. While celebrating our victory, we did not rub it in that Watford had been relegated.

Fans in L1 were more bothered about goading Leeds fans than they were celebrating the goal that almost guaranteed our promotion. I'd take a bet with you now that if we clinch automatic promotion on the last day of the season against Doncaster and they were going down we'd have some fans going exactly the same thing.
itsaknockeart Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 Watch this and tell me you don't really f**king want to beat them: Still distresses me watching the Carlo Nash save from Hume at the 3:21 mark. Footwork all messed up, going the wrong way....still saves it.
Soar Fox Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 2:30 into that video Kisnorbo is sat playing on his phone.
StanSP Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 2:30 into that video Kisnorbo is sat playing on his phone. At 8.32pm, I spotted that too
Nift Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 Relegation was the best thing what happened to us-introduction of Nigel Pearson
Corky Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 2:30 into that video Kisnorbo is sat playing on his phone. Probably Googling to find out who Harry Worley actually was.
Johnny Cash Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 I earnt myself a degree in that shitehole. The locals are an awful breed.
Lambert09 Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 Watch this and tell me you don't really f**king want to beat them: 5:15 is that Knockaert ?! Always was a fox
Lambert09 Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 Watch this and tell me you don't really f**king want to beat them: 5.12: Is that Knockaert?

We hadnt physically won promotion though had we? and no pitch invasion took place either. And who wouodnt goad their disgusting fans in any case?
The Year Of The Fox Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 Thinking back there wasn't much goading going on at all v forest in May either. All our fans were too busy going absolutely fcukin mental with each other and our players.
