Millwall vs. Leicester Post Match thread 1 - 3

An article on the game in the mirror also said we got lucky due to some lenient refereeing and poor finishing from Millwall. Everybody hates Leicester.

I wasn't at the game, so just based on highlights, but 1st and 3rd goals could have been called as fouls in the build up, and the second was fortunate as GTF mis-controlled it. I don't think we were at our best, but we won comfortably in the end in difficult conditions. Not going to complain, happy to fly under the radar anyway.

We weren't dire but we certainly weren't very good. Every chance that the conditions were responsible though.

I do agree with the second part of this. I left the ground with a couple of friends - one of whom was French and had no bias - and we all agreed that a team with any kind of finishing could have punished us in that game. As soon as it went to 2-1 it was all Millwall and we dropped deeper and deeper. The third goal goes in for us and the previous period of pressure is, of course, forgotten about.

Look, I'm happy to have won and the conditions had a lot to do with a difficult game where we couldn't play the way we wanted to and on balance I think we edged it but I wouldn't have been surprised if we had conceded and I think 3-1 flatters us.

Having said that, good teams take chances (that is part of the game) and Millwall did not do that.

A good result. I think we ground it out and showed our character but it wasn't convincing although that would have been hard in lashing rain and swirling wind.
