Strokes Posted 27 February 2014 Posted 27 February 2014 Saw a recently put up poster of this today. https://www.leics.police.uk/categories/operations/op-tiger#.Uw_Owfl_vs5 Crime is big in some areas, good to see the police are trying their best to tackle it Its just a shame it always seems to be them talking about what they are going to do, rather than let us do the talking about what they have done.
Lamby Posted 28 February 2014 Posted 28 February 2014 I thought this would be about killing Hull fans.
Alf Bentley Posted 28 February 2014 Posted 28 February 2014 I thought this would be about killing Hull fans. I thought it would be about you buying me a pint of Everard's finest bitter after the match on Saturday. Sorely disappointed...
Vlad the Fox Posted 28 February 2014 Posted 28 February 2014 Its just a shame it always seems to be them talking about what they are going to do, rather than let us do the talking about what they have done. This. I witnessed a serious assault in town yet the police proved incapable of coming to mine and a friends house to get a statement. Once i finished work early after they said they were on there way only for them to them ring an hour later to say they couldn't get a lift. Useless is what springs to mind.
Zingari Posted 28 February 2014 Posted 28 February 2014 "Operation Tiger is back for the second phase of intensive policing activity. Leicestershire Police is once again warning criminals that if they offend, they will be caught" https://www.leics.police.uk/news-appeals/news/2014/01/27/operation-tiger-returns That's a bit of a shocking statement from the police Shouldn't that be the intention all the time and not just during these so called " operations" ?

Exactly, when does this operation tiger finish so I can go out and do some crime again??
Zingari Posted 28 February 2014 Posted 28 February 2014 Exactly, when does this operation tiger finish so I can go out and do some crime again?? Ah that might be the cunning plan. The police will say Operation Tiger is over , and all the crooks will go back out feeling it's safe to knock over the local offy , and then plod will rush in and nick 'em . Devious boogers !!!
davieG Posted 28 February 2014 Posted 28 February 2014 Perhaps they do it like this with a big announcement to let any bent coppers know to back off for a while as they don't want to nick their own.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 28 February 2014 Posted 28 February 2014 This. I witnessed a serious assault in town yet the police proved incapable of coming to mine and a friends house to get a statement. The God Emperor Posted 28 February 2014 Posted 28 February 2014 bloody police, complete waste of money. wouldn't even need them if they's just let Smith & Wesson be my police force.

A house on my street was broken into a few months ago and the occupier was threatened with a hammer. Luckily the bad guy bolted soon enough but the old bill were on site within 10 minutes with a helicopter and dogs. I live on the edge on Leicester so lots of parks and countryside. Villain got away. No contact from plod since (this happened in oct 13 I think)

Also a shop got robbed (armed) near me recently, it took three weeks for the police to come and collect the CCTV.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 3 March 2014 Posted 3 March 2014 I'm guessing it's the effect of cuts. This this and more this

A floppy disk? No of course we can't track that. These policemen really do have no scruples.
Strokes Posted 4 March 2014 Posted 4 March 2014 I'm guessing it's the effect of cuts.Sure, yeah, the police were brilliant before the cuts.
DB11 Posted 4 March 2014 Posted 4 March 2014 All the time is taken up doing paperwork. A domestic or missing person, common jobs, requires pages of paperwork.
