Carl the Llama Posted 22 April 2014 Posted 22 April 2014 http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/27030559 It was nice to win it ourselves, especially having gained promotion when we didn't play. I think it was nicer for the players to get us over the line tonight in terms of winning the league. It was great to be able to finish off the season well and we've got to 96 points, which is a really good total with two games to go, and I want the players to go on and try and get as many points as possible now. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/27106508 I was promoted four times as a player and I know what it feels like and what it takes as a player but doing it as a manager is an incredible feeling. To guide a group of people, when I am still learning and developing, is a major achievement for me, the staff, the players and the club. The difference in rhetoric is remarkable. One manager talks in "we"s and "us"s, the other in "me"s and "I"s. I do hope Burnley fans sit up and take note that for all his tactical nous, Dyche is one gigantic self-serving cvnt, and I feel bad for his players having so much credit taken from them by that egotist - notice how his praise for his players seems to come as almost an afterthought. It's true that I can see how you'd find yourself agreeing with him if he was leading/led your team to the PL, but I'm relieved I'm not in a situation where I have to conflict myself like that. We've got a true gentleman at our helm - for all his 'smug' grins(funny how that word seems to be the jealous man's replacement for "pleased" or similar) he at least knows how to deliver a level headed compliment to his players instead of getting carried away on a trail of self-congratulation. The title could not have gone to a better man. Long may he reign. NFP is the man for me.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 23 April 2014 Posted 23 April 2014 The main difference I see is that we have 96 points.
ScouseFox Posted 23 April 2014 Posted 23 April 2014 hahaha dyche's comments there are madness. I DID IT GUYS IT WAS ALL ME SOMEBODY PRAISE ME QUICK
Guest MarshallForEngland Posted 23 April 2014 Posted 23 April 2014 The guy has no class. Really lost respect for him over the last few weeks.
Harry - LCFC Posted 23 April 2014 Posted 23 April 2014 Never noticed it before. One short paragraph could easily be an exception. Have to say there seems to be a lot of resentment of Dyche. He has given people reason to dislike him but perhaps they're now looking for opportunities to give him stick and are being a bit unfair as a result.
MPH Posted 23 April 2014 Posted 23 April 2014 The one thing I read from that is if a bigger club come in for Dyche he'll be off quicker than ultras trousers at a school appearance.... But it IS only one paragraph, and lets be honest he HAS done a good job at a much smaller club with a smaller budget and he's spent relatively nothing the last couple of years...
Ron Combo Posted 23 April 2014 Posted 23 April 2014 It's his glossy management speak that gives me the hump. Been on one too many media training courses methinks. Tosser. But he has done a good job tbf.
LCCFox96 Posted 23 April 2014 Posted 23 April 2014 Spot the difference. C Leicester P Burnley That's all that matters at the end of the day. Both managers, personality aside, have done brilliant jobs and deserve to take their teams up. The top two were the right and two and in the right order at that.
