Xen Posted 7 May 2014 Posted 7 May 2014 As I'm a good boy nowadays, I'm gonna be realistic. Schmeichel De Laet - Morgan - Brooks - Cresswell James - Krychowiak - Drinkwater Mahrez - Ben Yedder Castiagnos Subs - Logan, Moore, Schlupp, King, Knockaert/Redmond, Nugent, Vardy John Anthony Brooks - A defender right up our street, young, highly rated, international, and probably wouldn't cost much. Absolute beast standing at 6ft4. Aaron Cresswell - Think it's inevitable, that we will try and sign him quickly, so others don't get in ahead of us. Grzegorz Krychowiak - Really like this shout from MC Prussian, the type of player we really need, wouldn't cost loads, adds bite in midfield Nathan Redmond - If Dyer leaves, and as Norwich will probably go down, Redmond would be an excellent buy, have rated him for a while Wissam Ben Yedder - Would love him here, the possible link up with him & Mahrez excites me a lot Luc Castiagnos - This guy could be an absolute beast in a couple of years, 6ft2, highly rated, scoring goals in Eredivise & Holland U21's, he should be our big money signing. Don't know about another Right Back - Australian International Luke Wilkshire is out of contract, or maybe get Tomas Kalas from Chelsea on loan. Can't believe I'm agreeing with you but, wow. That team looks something special. I'd go for a different CB pairing (don't know much about Brooks to comment, but I think Morgan's lack of pace could cause him some trouble in the top flight), but I have no idea who to suggest. I'd like Wasyl to stay here as well, but not sure where he'd fit if we kept Morgan. Might need a different formation for some matches though, that team almost looks like it would be too attacking for its own good at times. A 4-1-4-1, similar to this season but with Nuge replaced with a DM might work, especially if we're trying to hold onto a lead against other bottom-half teams.
lc4lcfc Posted 7 May 2014 Posted 7 May 2014 Schmeichel De laet Moore Vitor Umtiti James Drinkwater Snodgrass Cleverley Mahrez Agbonlahor Subs Vardy Knockaert Morgan King Naughton Schlupp Hamer ALMOST sensible suggestion haha
Guest LCFC_World Posted 7 May 2014 Posted 7 May 2014 Scott Parker (MC new signing) Scott Parker is a no nonsense, experienced leader of a central midfielder as I'm sure you are aware. He is known to be a 'relegator'.. no thanks.
the_enlightened_one Posted 7 May 2014 Author Posted 7 May 2014 I really think Scott Parker is a must considered he wouldn't cost anything. He's got another year left in him at this level, not too sure if he would leave London though, he's been there his whole career. His experience and leadership cannot be bought cheaply. I'd love Cresswell too but I would expect him to replace Luke Shaw at Southampton. Unless we act now of course. Nick Powell is another I would absolutely love. Will only get better and judging by this season the sky is the limit. I could genuinely see this one happening.

Wes Morgan should start, as he is our captain, and a great leader. His experience & knowledge would be vital to the likes of Brooks & Moore. Wasilewski should get a one year contract, but he would be a walking disaster if played against the top teams especially, regardless how much we love him. Don't know about that being too attacking, three in midfield is a more defensive approach. I can see us adopting 4-3-2-1, 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 next season, I think we would get turned over too easily if we go 4-4-2. I would stick to my above line up. If we want to go more attacking, take James or Krychowiak out, and replace them with Knockaert. 4-3-3, keep the above midfield three, but then have Vardy & Mahrez out wide.
the_enlightened_one Posted 7 May 2014 Author Posted 7 May 2014 He is known to be a 'relegator'.. no thanks. I don't think it's fair to blame him for West Ham and Fulham (and QPR?) getting relegated. West Ham had some awful players that year and he was their best player by a mile and Fulham have had god knows how many managers this year which hardly helps and is hardly his fault. Did he get relegated with QPR? If he did it was mainly a mixture of the above reasons why they were relegated, not his fault. Great player in my opinion.

Had a really poor season.
PerfumePonce Posted 7 May 2014 Posted 7 May 2014 I think we should play a 4-1-4-1 formation. GK Kasper RB RDL CB Morgan CB Moore/Wague LB Creswell CDM Chalobah RM Mahrez CM Drinkwater CM James/another creative midfielder LM Noone ST Finnbogason I think 5 in midfield is key otherwise we will get destroyed. Also, wague because he is tall, young, powerful and cheap. Well you have to have somebody at LM! Schmeichel De Laet - Morgan - Caulkner - Cole James - Drinkwater Mahrez - Holtby - Knockaert Vietto Probably a bit TOO dreamy, but yeah...
lcfcbobby Posted 7 May 2014 Posted 7 May 2014 GK - Kasper LB - ????? CB - Morgan CB - Moore RB - De Lait LM - Mirez CM - James CM - Drinkwater CM - King RM - Knockart CF - Vardy/Nugent am unsure of a left back as I think that it will have to be a scouted player from abroard but I think this is a solid base and obviously players will come in but I wouldn't like the team to change to drastically and by sounds of it neither does Pearson. I think Vardy will cause defences issues with his pace and work rate and i think Nugent deserves another year but i think we will need to buy most of the players for the bench as the rest of players are not good enough in my personal opinion.. What do you think???

sdb Posted 7 May 2014 Posted 7 May 2014 Like many of you I think we should completely dissemble the squad and starting XI... rodallega is on like £80k a week at Fulham too I'd add 4-5 players max: a CB, CM, St and a winger, especially if Dyer goes. That'll do for me. Unless a brilliant full back becomes available.

MrAus Posted 7 May 2014 Posted 7 May 2014 Hmmmm 4-2-3-1 (Gk) Kasper (Rb) De Laet (Cb) Morgan (Cb) Hangeland (Lb) Bertrand (Cm) James (Cm) Drinkwater (Rm) Mahrez (Cam) Powell (Lm) Scott Sinclair (Cf) Frazier Campbell Subs: Almunia Moore Schlupp Knockaert Nugent Vardy Parker

But Cresswell instead of cole-he's completely unrealistic. Would be immense to see Holtby here though.

Really? Vardy is better. And 2 slow centre backs, not too sure about that, pace is key in the Premier league.
sdb Posted 7 May 2014 Posted 7 May 2014 What go into a prem season with only 3 wingers if dyer goes? We only had 2 the start of this! Rotating 3 should do - Schlupp/Vardy can play wide if absolutely neccessary. I don't think we should flood the squad with new players.
LCFC31 Posted 7 May 2014 Posted 7 May 2014 well someone aint a Leicester fan are they? No, I am a Leicester fan. I obviously know more about the team aswell since I know how to spell their names. De Laet, Mahrez and Knockaert...
Mason Posted 7 May 2014 Posted 7 May 2014 We would get destroyed Cresswell as good as he is, he is still young and in experienced and has never played at a top level that's why I suggest we should go for somebody like Tremoulinas
PerfumePonce Posted 7 May 2014 Posted 7 May 2014 Cresswell as good as he is, he is still young and in experienced and has never played at a top level that's why I suggest we should go for somebody like Tremoulinas But we've seen it happen. Luke Shaw being an example of this. Not saying it would be the same but there are players who do manage to make the step up. Cresswell could be one of these.
