terry2simmo Posted 7 May 2014 Posted 7 May 2014 Hi, I Just wanted to congratulate Mark on a superb win in the world snooker final. I wonder if the club will let him have the opportunity to parade the trophy in front of us all next season?.He is a true Blue and he never Quit .Well done Mark. .
Bert Posted 7 May 2014 Posted 7 May 2014 I think they will do. They have done for every other major he's won. Fair play to him. Proper rags to ditches story. I have friends that are very good friends with him, they're all over the moon. From the two times I've been with him I can say he is an absolutely top lad, down to earth like he's just one of the lads. Never forget when we played his pool team, went round everyone asking them if they wanted a drink. Deserves everything he gets.

Guest MattP Posted 7 May 2014 Posted 7 May 2014 Can only echo what Bert said. Played pool against him and he is just a lovely down to earth lad. Hope he does parade the trophy next season.
ceredigion Posted 7 May 2014 Posted 7 May 2014 And we had Willie Thorne too back in the day. Gary Lineker was also pretty useful on the green baize. I think he's made a few century breaks in his time.
RobHawk Posted 7 May 2014 Posted 7 May 2014 I remember seeing willie Thorne around Coalville as a nipper!
LAprice_ Posted 7 May 2014 Posted 7 May 2014 Leicester City players are not the only ones who had a bit of a sing after winning the Championship...
One Legged Beaver Posted 7 May 2014 Posted 7 May 2014 Leicester City players are not the only ones who had a bit of a sing after winning the Championship... What's Nicko McBrain doing there?

Resonate Posted 7 May 2014 Posted 7 May 2014 What's Nicko McBrain doing there? He was seen in the crowd at the final....
fox123 Posted 7 May 2014 Posted 7 May 2014 I remember seeing willie Thorne around Coalville as a nipper! So did your aunties, uncles, cousins and close relatives.
Guest MarshallForEngland Posted 8 May 2014 Posted 8 May 2014 Speaking of Willie Thorne, did anyone hear his commentary in the final when he went "Oh, and a little smile for uncle Willie"? Are there any bookies taking bets on the next person to be nicked by Operation Yewtree?
LesterGloster Posted 8 May 2014 Posted 8 May 2014 And in the interview with Hazel Irvine, just after he had just become World Champion, she commented that he would rather have been in Leicester to see the victory parade. Top man Mark.
Raj Posted 8 May 2014 Posted 8 May 2014 Never met the bloke but only ever heard very good stories about him. Respect.
Lionator Posted 8 May 2014 Posted 8 May 2014 Went to the Crucible for the first time this year. Mark had played in morning and we were waiting outside for the afternoon session when he walked by. Asked for a photo and when we mentioned we were Leicester fans he stopped and talked to us for 5-10 minutes. Absolutely brilliant bloke.
One Legged Beaver Posted 8 May 2014 Posted 8 May 2014 He was seen in the crowd at the final.... Ah I must have missed that bit
