Thanks for the info, but my problem is how do I get it out of hibernation?

When mine goes into hibernation I usually just press the power button but only for a split second and not very hard either, usually wakes up. Or failing that have you tried Ctrl+Alt+Del?

I think that's sleep mode not hibernation, I can do that ok.

... and when that doesn't work, why not pick the machine up and give it a right good shake? :dunno:

Sorry davieG, I'm without ideas at present.

Is the Hibernate mode important to you? I mean, do you ever actually require it to be in Hibernate mode? Or can you live without it (or prefer not to use it at all)?

You can always disable the ability to Hibernate, if you don't want/need to use this feature, that is.

Disable Hibernation (Vista)

Disable Hibernation (XP)

No I don't use it, I'll give that a go - thanks.

When trying to play a game of poker on MSN i get this:

ActiveX Objects Missing 2

Messenger games require ActiveX objects in order to play. Please verify that you have the ability to install ActiveX objects on this machine and relaunch your game.

What does it mean?

How do i sort it?

Yeah, Potter... that'll be useful... a link to google!

Joemundo: try this - assuming your running a genuine copy of Window XP (not Vista) I think it'll do the trick.... I'm no techno-whizz though! :dunno:

Techie people - feel free to contradict me!

Hey everyone

Ok, need an html expert here

is there an html code which, when a page is opened, requires a password to open that page.

E.G. there is a link on my homepage, when I click it to take me to a different page, a password box appears, and requires me to enter a password to open that specific page

Many thanks
