Babylon Posted 30 May 2014 Posted 30 May 2014 Anyone fancy watching the whole game it's now on here on the bbc site. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/football/26684674
Babylon Posted 30 May 2014 Author Posted 30 May 2014 Well so far what's noticeable is that the quality of play is dreadful. A league one team from the modern era could probably take this lot
leicesterlad1989 Posted 30 May 2014 Posted 30 May 2014 I honestly believe I'd have made it as a pro having watched the first few minutes. Martin Peters loves a shot too!
Babylon Posted 30 May 2014 Author Posted 30 May 2014 Love how the keeper is sparko and they ref plays on for a bit ha ha.
Babylon Posted 30 May 2014 Author Posted 30 May 2014 well that was shit defending Starting to think perhaps Bobby Moore was overrated.
Babylon Posted 30 May 2014 Author Posted 30 May 2014 Is this the league two play off final but in Black and white?
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 30 May 2014 Posted 30 May 2014 It's great that they're showing this in its entirety, hats off to 'em
Harry - LCFC Posted 30 May 2014 Posted 30 May 2014 That is a seriously good goal. Impressed every time I see it.
Babylon Posted 30 May 2014 Author Posted 30 May 2014 Hirst's movement have been the highlight so far.
leicesterlad1989 Posted 30 May 2014 Posted 30 May 2014 At times the football can be great but some of the touches and the little "fairy passes" they do are so shite!
Harry - LCFC Posted 30 May 2014 Posted 30 May 2014 Thank fvck the back pass rule was introduced. The Germans are a right bunch of killjoys.
Fox92 Posted 30 May 2014 Posted 30 May 2014 I wondered what MOTD were doing earlier. Keep tweeting "and Hurst scores for England". Those poor people who don't know their football will think we're in the World Cup final.
theessexfox Posted 30 May 2014 Posted 30 May 2014 What a player Bobby Charlton was by the looks of it. BBC have done well with this.
leicesterlad1989 Posted 30 May 2014 Posted 30 May 2014 What's our team and formation? Lined up on the screen as a 433 formation: Banks Cohen Charlton J Moore Wilson Stiles Charltons R Peters Ball Hurst Hunt I'll be honest I know of every single one of those players other than Wilson?
Harry - LCFC Posted 30 May 2014 Posted 30 May 2014 Amazed by the crowd booing the pass back to Banks near the end and the "we want three chants" when it was 2-1 I'd be a nervous wreck if England were hanging onto a one goal lead in the round of 16 let alone the final!
Pride_Of_The_Midlands Posted 30 May 2014 Posted 30 May 2014 What a player Bobby Charlton was by the looks of it. BBC have done well with this. Best ever English player? I know that the FA chose Bobby Moore as our single most outstanding player from 1954-2003 in the UEFA Jubilee Awards. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UEFA_Jubilee_Awards
Trav Le Bleu Posted 30 May 2014 Posted 30 May 2014 Did we win? The Germans made a time machine, killed the Russian linesman's parents before he was born and replaced him with a young Austrian lad decended from the Schicklgrubers. So no... and this also resulted in them winning the war and we now all speak German and are part of the Great Teutonic Empire... in which case, WE DID WIN! Hoorah!
Fox92 Posted 30 May 2014 Posted 30 May 2014 Gordon Banks was absolute quality. Certainly up there with the greatest goalkeepers ever. So proud that he represented, and won the World Cup, with England as a Leicester player. Best ever English player? I know that the FA chose Bobby Moore as our single most outstanding player from 1954-2003 in the UEFA Jubilee Awards. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UEFA_Jubilee_Awards I'd say Moore though, I think he's the obvious choice. Legend. That tackle on Jairzinho remains as classic as Banks' save.
Guest ttfn Posted 30 May 2014 Posted 30 May 2014 The real question is how many PFA teams of the year were they each in? The answer is 0. Alan Wright > Bobby Moore.
