I saw someone on twitter post the question about how many players Pearson has signed, that were at the time or had been at some point in the United youth team. Can we add any names to this list?

Ritchie De Laet

Michael Keane

Jesse Lingard

Jack Barmby

Tom Lawrence

Nick Powell

Louis Rowley

At Hull

James Chester

Robbie Brady

Cameron Stewart

Corry Evans

Joe Dudgeon

Joshua King

For Leicester  Previously at united

Ben Marshall

Ritchie Wellens

Danny Simpson

PS. Yes I had nothing better to do on my lunch.

Considering United used to thrive on youngsters coming through and doing the buisness for them it's pretty obvious why they are doing poorly atm. We've bought them all!

Wont be the case much longer!

Utd are binning all their young players..

I was going to add, whilst we might still look at them in future. I can see it coming to an end with the current generation.

I think Pearson liked the attitude drummed into the young lads at United by Ferguson as much as the talent.

I got the feeling (not backed up by facts) that Pearson and Fergie probably got on pretty well?

Certainly Utd were more than happy to loan/sell us players.

God knows what Van Gaal is now doing, other than spending.

Who signed Wellens ?

It was Pearson after the League 1 season I think

United must have a good academy but just highlights the issue with these big clubs really, would rather drop large sums on bringing players in then investing time into youngsters,

Can't complain though allowed us to bring in some of our most important players on cheap transfers because Pearson is prepared to invest time into developing them. Also helps to get them playing a certain way when they are younger means they don't have to change their game completely once they move to us!

It appears that Man U have become a feeder club for us!!!

You're just our feeder club

You're just our feeder club

You're just our feeder club

You're just our feeder club.

Can we save that till the last few minutes or when we go 3up

LVG is on a time budget. He must get Utd into the Champions League. Companies such as Addidas will reduce their sponsorship fees if does not happen. I think I read somewhere they have a clause if they don't make top 4 the fees will be reduced from 75m to 52m. They are just one of many. Utd are gambling big time this season. Their loss is our gain.

All those knocking Utd about youth players...haven't they been starting with Evans, Blackett, Januzaj, Welbeck, Fletcher etc. All youth players.

You can knock them but they're one of the best in the country at bringing them through.

Edit: Lingard as well.

none of those will be starting once the Premiership restarts

TBH since the 92 lot the rest that have come through have been average and basically carried by better players around them. O'Shea, Brown, Welbeck, Cleverly....

I disagree.

They have just let the wrong players leave.

Pique, Pogba, Shawcross, Rossi...

There the big ones I can think of but I'm sure there's more.

Ravel Morrison would be a different player now if he worked with Fergie. His "bad man" attitude would of been slapped out of him with a footy boot to the head.

Plus all the ones in our team are premiership quality that they could have sold for a lot more than they did.

Matty James and Danny Drinkwater outperformed the CMs they had last season, albeit in a lower league but the standard of performance Fellani was putting out he would have struggled to secure a position at Yeovil!

That wasn't really my point.

"United must have a good academy but just highlights the issue with these big clubs really, would rather drop large sums on bringing players in then investing time into youngsters,"

It might have happened the last week or so but it doesn't "highlight the issue with these big clubs". Man City/Chelsea/PSG etc are rich, everyone knows, it doesn't need highlighting. Man Utd/Tottenham/Arsenal/Liverpool have always been happy to give youngsters a chance.

The thing is it's not the time to bullshit around with youngsters with Utd in the position they are in, they need to get back on track and they need established players quickly, not to build on their academy, they clearly just don't have enough talent coming through at the moment.
