Tuna Posted 24 September 2014 Share Posted 24 September 2014 Can't see where he fits in, gives the ball away which is suicide in the premier league.

sylofox Posted 26 September 2014 Share Posted 26 September 2014 Posted the reason I heard he is out of favour a while back, but the mods deleted it. Sorry bb I am with the mods on this one. Had you been there and seen it I would still say it should not be on here. NP has built a team that plays for eachother the spirit is so right. Yes they may have the odd spat but it should stay in the club. Being on here with fans picking sides would only risk disrupting the squad. Some things are best left in the dressing room IMO. Col city fan Posted 26 September 2014 Author Share Posted 26 September 2014 Two things, which I suggested in the pre season: 1. Lack of pace. The Premiership is quick! Knockaert isn't. 2. Giving the ball away cheaply..suicide in this division. For all his skill, which is undoubted, the above two render him a little risky at this level. The team without Knockaert, presently, looks stronger and better.

65RosesFox Posted 26 September 2014 Share Posted 26 September 2014 To be fair the teams we have played I don't think he was our best option however for Burnley at home when we will see a lot more of the ball I think he is a better option than Schlupp. I'd like to see us play a 4-4-2 in that game with him and Mahrez on the wings. However he is out of favour, it's something he has to get use to. He will get a chance sometime during the season, it's just up to him to do what Hammond has done and take the opportunity and earn his spot in the starting XI. sphericalfox Posted 26 September 2014 Share Posted 26 September 2014 Knocky is still immature. You can tell instantly that Mahrez's temperament is better, not even discussing rumours, the way he plays and carries himself, there's a significant difference in character. Lad has made leaps and bounds since he joined, but he's not there yet. I hope he can fix up, and soak in Cambiasso, because if he can, then he ultimately will be better than Mahrez. Stadt Posted 26 September 2014 Share Posted 26 September 2014 I haven't seen anything to suggest that Knocky can or will be better than Riyad. The mental side of his game isn't quite premier league in my opinion but let's not get too harsh on him because he was an important cog in a record breaking season and a far cry from the Momo Syllas and Josh Lows of the world
