The irony of the 'Pearson out' argument...

I know, we're all a bit worn out after an emotional day such as today. :D

No, it's not just today. There literally is, just no point...

The question, for me, is this:

Do people think someone else could take this bunch of players and get something else out of them?

To get this existing squad looking much better?

If yes, then perhaps a change is called for?

If no, we keep Pearson. There'd be no point in changing anyway.

The thing is Col that NFP chose to go with these players for our first season in the Premier in 10 years, that for me shows he doesn't know what he's doing.

Babs and others have mentioned 'we all thought we'd be good enough'.

Did we really?

I didn't, that was a poor defence last season, I was horrified that we only brought in Upson and never replaced Konchesky. I've never been a fan of Schmeichel either, great shot stopper but they're ten a penny, it's commanding your box that makes you a good goalie.

We didn't bring in an attacking creative midfielder and now have '4 or 5  of the same'.

If we went down and came back up (which is far from guaranteed) would he learn his lesson?

Sad but true, my lad doesn't want to go on Boxing Day now, he'll be even more determined should he watch Man City stuff us next week.

I know we'd struggle and obviously lose more than we'd win but this is just embarrassing now, even Derby fans will be laughing soon.

If they lack experience then they are not good enough.

No big difference in lack of experience and not good enough.

Drinky and vardy of 2 seasons ago are point in case last season they were then lorded as 2 of the best.

They need time yes something we do not have but it don't mean they are not good enough.

But like 2 seasons ago most of our fans will not give them that or Nige.

How many times have we seen imports struggle first season in the prem then turn it round our problem is we have to many that need time to adjust.

And yes a few that may not be good enough.

Many of us new that we had too many who had to make the step up and a few who probably wouldn't.

Pearson has to take the blame for not bringing in more PL quality.

Ever heard of the name Terry Robinson?

Or of the concept of FFP?

Look it up. Maybe you won't come to such rash conclusions any longer after the lecture.

There is no irony here.

Pearson has put this squad together. If it isn't good enough it's his fault no one else's.

All this talk of 'experience' is irrelevant. Pearson's job is to keep us up how he does that is up to him. He chose where to recruit, he's bought crocks and has bins. (Not counting Cambiasso in that, who by all accounts was actually a master strike by the board not Pearson!) That means if the issue is we haven't got enough experience that is Pearsons fault! We didn't have to spend £50 million in the summer but some more PROVEN quality wouldn't have hurt.

Certain players not pulling their weight (I personally am not rating Mahrez or Schlupp as the team players they need to be) Pearson is not getting them playing 100%. This is his job, which he is not doing.

Silly mistakes week in week out... That isn't Pearsons fault!

I for one am not impressed the board haven't commented on Pearsons comments about 'that' fan and his subsequent interview.

Yes he got us promoted but that doesn't give him the right to get us relegated...

We haven't won for over a quarter of the season it is time to get rid and change some faces or we will be sat here in May back in the championship.

We aren't far off that's the annoying thing give Pearson 10 more games and we will be!!!

Me being one and pointed out and got slagged for saying vardy would struggle.

Also got told I was wrong that we had not strengthened the squad as we bought in bench players.

But 80% on here thought we would stop up easy with our squad.

Now most are slagging the players.

I bet if you asked the owners and Pearson, knowing what they know now, would they have spent up big in the summer, the answer would be yes.

They placed faith in the players that got us promoted, but they arent good enough for the prem league (yet), they wouldve have been good players as backups to get experience and grow, but our first 11 is NOT good enough to do what needs to be done.

That is Pearson's fault for not knowing the league well enough, we can probably buy in January, but at this moment i think we will have a QPR experience.

On the good side, pretty much all of those players will be good enough to bring us back up a year later and we have them signed to long deals.

Having players on long term deals when you drop down a division means squat, a good bit of team rebuilding will happen and the fall out from a season long relegation battle could see us struggling badly.

Why peeps think we are just going to go down and come straight back up is strange and I doubt the owners will be chuffed to be right back where we started.
