How many points is too much to catch up

I think we are always in with a shout whilst it remains a single figure number.  Teams have done it before.  When the requirement gets in to double figures though thats when its perhaps curtains.

Look how it's turned round for Burnley, the same could happen to us in a couple of weeks, no need to panic yet...

There is for me. We're bottom of the league, five points away from 17th and we've got West Ham and Tottenham up next.

I honestly think you'll stay up. Qpr, hull and palace to go.

No way Palace are going down as long as they keep Bolasie fit. Us, you and QPR is my guess. (Sorry)

I think Harry will have them saved this year and turn them into a mid table team/top half in all honesty,

He took over an overpaid, overhyped team full of bad attitudes and big egos, and It was very difficult for him to get rid of them in the championship due to wages etc (part of that was his fault with panic buys but most of the signings were not), having Rob green and julio cesar on 50k and 80k per week in the championship, zamora 60k, SWP 60k Barton 55k etc etc,

Now they are up they are letting go of the dead wood and starting to build a more hungry squad I.e Niko Kranc and charlie austin...

I think they will all click from the mass departure and arrival of the past few seasons, and he will start to build them into a decent outfit... Sandro is absolutely top Draw IMO

Wouldn't be surprised to see them in the top 12 next season but I'm aware i could be completely wrong on this.

I think 7 points is basically when it becomes too difficulct.

At 5 points you only need one win and one favourable result and the next game can see you out of the bottom 3. 7 though leaves you needing 3 decent reaults in a row and 3 favourables which just wont happen. We're on the brink.

we could win the next 4 who knows whats going to happen we look better and it is literally fine margins

The other big issue i've got - Why couldn't we perform like that against Palace, Burnley, Newcastle, Swansea, West Brom, Southampton, QPR, Villa?

Why can we only seem to perform against the bigger sides? Everton, Chelsea, Arsenal, Man Utd, Liverpool, Man City?

I'm under no illusions we're going down this season. Just want us to put all our energies into winning the FA cup, if we treat it seriously and play our strongest side from the off, get a little bit of luck along the way, who knows what can happen.

Suddenly from all the doom all and gloom this would be the best season in our history and there'd be a statue of Pearson next to the clock tower.

Definitely more chance of winning that than staying in the Prem.

Burnley will fall away. :)

Are you guaranteed to be bottom at Christmas now? There used to be a stat that the team bottom at Christmas always go down. Didn't a team buck that trend last year?

OK he may be here to take the piss personally don't think he is'

But he thinks we have a chance why do so many of you think we don't?

Fair point, but did we expect much better?? Fair enough we have fewer points than I'd have hoped, but today highlighted the hunger and desire if the players for me, hence why I'm not panicking yet. I'm an optimist, always have been, always will be, and I think we'll be just fine. :)

Back to back wins, as we did against Stoke and Man United, takes us out of the relegation zone. As long as we play with ambition, this could happen within a few weeks.

Here we go.

Why not? They're winning games, we are not.

A good run can change every thing. It's over when we have a big "R" next to our name. Not now.
