Leicester Lass Posted 24 December 2014 Posted 24 December 2014 Bale > Giggs Unless of course you count the number of times they've been voted in the PFA Team of the Year...
Fox92 Posted 24 December 2014 Posted 24 December 2014 Bale > Giggs Giggs did it consistently though for 14 years. He is still probably fit now and could play at somesort of level.
Tom17LCFC Posted 24 December 2014 Posted 24 December 2014 Unless of course you count the number of times they've been voted in the PFA Team of the Year... unless of course you consider the fact giggs is 15+ years older and spent his entire career in england...
Fox92 Posted 24 December 2014 Posted 24 December 2014 unless of course you consider the fact giggs is 15+ years older and spent his entire career in england... Unless of course you consider she was probably joking because of the Gerrard/Scholes argument.
Tom17LCFC Posted 24 December 2014 Posted 24 December 2014 Unless of course you consider she was probably joking because of the Gerrard/Scholes argument. Ok mate x
Pride_Of_The_Midlands Posted 24 December 2014 Posted 24 December 2014 Giggs did it consistently though for 14 years. He is still probably fit now and could play at somesort of level. Bale reached a higher level though.
Corky Posted 24 December 2014 Posted 24 December 2014 Bale reached a higher level in the Premier League than a player who won it 13 times? Yeah, ok.
Soar Fox Posted 24 December 2014 Posted 24 December 2014 Bale reached a higher level in the Premier League than a player who won it 13 times? Yeah, ok. You could also chuck in 4 Fa Cups and 2 champions leagues.

Fox92 Posted 24 December 2014 Posted 24 December 2014 Bale reached a higher level though. How so? ... Giggs has won a top European division more times and has two European Cup winners medals (ok Bale might win more European Cups by the time he finishes) but at the minute they're on the same level aren't they?
Bert Posted 24 December 2014 Posted 24 December 2014 Schmeichel G Nev A Cole Terry Adams Ronaldo Giggs Scholes Vieira Henry Shearer Plenty of legends that have missed out in that eleven.
Pride_Of_The_Midlands Posted 24 December 2014 Posted 24 December 2014 How? By becoming a better player than Giggs was.
Pride_Of_The_Midlands Posted 24 December 2014 Posted 24 December 2014 How so? ... Giggs has won a top European division more times and has two European Cup winners medals (ok Bale might win more European Cups by the time he finishes) but at the minute they're on the same level aren't they? Similar but would Real Madrid spend £80m on Ryan Giggs? I don't think so.
Corky Posted 24 December 2014 Posted 24 December 2014 You could also chuck in 4 Fa Cups and 2 champions leagues. You could, but surely this team is based on what they've done in the Premier League? Otherwise you could consider Lombardo and Shevchenko, for example. Bale's reputation was made over three seasons with Spurs and mostly from his performance in the San Siro against Inter, Giggs did it in the Premier League for over 20 years.

Guest ttfn Posted 24 December 2014 Posted 24 December 2014 Similar but would Real Madrid spend £80m on Ryan Giggs? I don't think so. Probably because when Ryan Guggs was 23, that would have been 5 times the world transfer record. I'm sure Inter were in for him around the time they bought Ronaldo.
