Not on atm but how do you delete the stuff mate?

Go to CONTROL PANEL.

Click on: Programmes and features

and look for anything that you didn't have before you installed CYBER GHOST.

Simply click on and delete.

I have yes, still happens on 600kbps for example

I don't even have fibre and I can run it at 900kbps with only very occasional buffering.

Maybe it's luck, if there's a lot of people on the VPN at the same time perhaps it slows you down

I've got BT Infinity 2 which is supposed to get up to 76mbs but the best I can get on my old laptop is 21mbs and 35mbs on my PC.

With Cyberghost (Trial package, can't get the free one) I'm getting 13mbs with the 3450 kbits/s stream quality.

To get the "trial" did you set up an account with email address etc?

Well I did initially but since then I've uninstalled and reinstalled the 'free version' to try to get the free option but I still get messages saying it's a 6 day trial.

I'll see what happens when the 6 days are up.

The buffering will be due to the VPN. Your connection is being redirected to servers that are often shared by 10's of thousands of users - especially the free services. Find yourself a decent VPN and problems should cease.

You must be on a 7 day total trial of their premium product.

I haven't signed up that's probably why it doesn't work as well because free users are not priority.

Starting to think my setup is ok its the VPN choice that needs looking at.

Spot on.

I am not sure if this works for what you're all trying to do, but when I wanted to watch stuff online from the BBC or 4od websites, I would use a vpn, get it streaming, and then stop using the vpn.

Once streaming (at least on many websites) you don't need the vpn anymore because it is past the point where it'll check for/block you based on your location.

Just tried it but it stopped working how long did you let it run for before disconnecting the VPN

I have heard of this but unfortunately it doesn't seem to work.

Ah, that's unfortunate. Usually you can just disconnect it right away, but that's for websites not something like xbmc I guess.

I'm on virgin media fibre optic, normally get about 18mbps from an advertised 20mbps package. Through the free version of cyber ghost I was getting 4mbps and that was running the live stream of the golf perfectly at 400kb/s last night. I'll see if I can push the quality any higher today during the football, presumably it'll be busier and therefore might buffer more then though.

One thing I did notice is that my laptop was labouring a bit just running cyber ghost on its own with nothing else open. My laptop was mid-range four years ago so if anyone is running it on a less powerful system then that might explain the problems.
