Webbo Posted 8 April 2015 Posted 8 April 2015 There's a chance to win a top of the range android box if anyone is interested. Basically you have to join a Kodi forum (I'm a member on there, you won't get any spam/ scams I promise you) and then refer a friend to join. It gives good advice if you're having problems finding a stream or making it work. How to install;http://www.tvaddons.ag/install-kodi/ If you could join using my reference I'm in with a chance of winning too ; http://forums.tvaddons.ag/register.php?referrerid=39931 Mark, if this is against the rules please delete.
wattolcfc Posted 8 April 2015 Posted 8 April 2015 Sign up for PureVPN and then change your region to UAE. Sign up for BeIn Sports (16 HD channels) and stream to your tv, phone or tablet. Works out at about £8 a month altogether for both. Shows every Premier League game in HD and you can pay for it with PayPal. Also has loads of other sports and all the top footy leagues. Much cheaper than sky and you get EVERY match - you'd be mad not to!
MooseBreath Posted 11 April 2015 Posted 11 April 2015 Kodi isn't working for me on any computer now. Every football game just says "one or more items failed to play. Please check the log file". The golf works fine.

The golf works fine. Yes same here and the web based streams are awful (please PM me if you have a decent one) When the ball goes into the shadow you can't see anything! Ironically I haven't seen much Masters coverage on that golf channel, Just endless talking about it!
Len Finsbury Posted 11 April 2015 Posted 11 April 2015 Kodi is dead to me now too. Same message as moose. It was good while it lasted
Webbo Posted 12 April 2015 Posted 12 April 2015 The NBC sports add on for football doesn't seem to working atm. I've tried Phoenix-Phoenix TV and that's showing QPR Chelsea. (no VPN required)
Webbo Posted 14 April 2015 Posted 14 April 2015 Apparently you now need an American cable log in to access the NBC sports network, so it looks like that's the end of that. This may be a solution though; https://seo-michael.co.uk/how-to-install-vdubt25-add-on-kodi-xbmc/ Haven't tried it myself yet so don't know how good it is.
PAULCFC Posted 14 April 2015 Posted 14 April 2015 Watched Liverpools match last night on NBCSN.Android box and no buffering at all.Seem to get better streams fom canadian/american networks for some reason.

You can use the prem site to find which channels are showing which game, Leicester v Swansea is on Sportsnet Canada http://m.premierleague.com/en-gb/broadcasts.html

Strokes Posted 15 April 2015 Posted 15 April 2015 How do you get sportsnet Canada though? If you click on the link webbo provided, it tells you how to install vdub onto xbmc\kodi, on that you can get Sportsnet, the first two NBC channels (so basically everything but NBC extra) and be in sports. You will get every Leicester game on here, until either we get relegated or it gets shut down.
MooseBreath Posted 15 April 2015 Posted 15 April 2015 Nice one, hopefully it still works come Saturday. I wish there was some way I could just pay for a reliable stream. Would pay good money.

How would that work though surely it would annihilate sky's position and funding and i can't see how you could spit the running of it between say Sky and BT. If it was run by the PL and each club got takings based on the 'ST holder's' allegience then the smaller clubs would suffer especially as plenty of those who might buy will pick the top 4/5 clubs for the reflected glory it brings them as in 'I've got a Man U ST'

I would be happy to pay but its not offered. i can't see that being able to continue long term and I don't know how they can stop it, other than a legal, easier alternative.
Ollie93 Posted 15 April 2015 Posted 15 April 2015 I haven't tried it, but I use "Hola" VPN. It's an extension of google chrome and you just change your viewing region to the US. It works for American netflix so don't see why it wouldnt work for football.

Especially when you can do this for US Sports. I pay for the NBA season which is a very reasonable price considering the 1000's of games you can watch.

In France I can watch every game. There are so many prem fans in Asia/Africa/Europe that there's a significant amount of money to be made. Sky/BT could be in on it if they wished.
Webbo Posted 15 April 2015 Posted 15 April 2015 The thing is if each club could charge for it's own games on an individual basis, the top 6 clubs would have an even bigger advantage in terms of money. Not as much as you might think, Sky and BT would still broadcast games for neutrals, foreign network deals remain, it just allows the clubs to maximise there outreach to fans that can't attend match days in the UK.

If you could just buy your own team's games would you bother with the Sky and BT packages?
Guest Posted 18 April 2015 Posted 18 April 2015 If you could just buy your own team's games would you bother with the Sky and BT packages? I wouldn't. But then I wouldn't buy the Sky and BT packages in order to just watch City. So selling me just the City games would make them more profit.
Webbo Posted 18 April 2015 Posted 18 April 2015 I wouldn't. But then I wouldn't buy the Sky and BT packages in order to just watch City. So selling me just the City games would make them more profit. But the big clubs would make more money still, giving them an even bigger advantage.
Guest Posted 18 April 2015 Posted 18 April 2015 But the big clubs would make more money still, giving them an even bigger advantage. In the NBA and NFL the money goes into a general pot and then is shared out equally.
