The 3 P 's.. Pearson, Pulis, Pardew...

What 3 Ps would you use to describe weller54?

Posted

No I'm not, I want us to do well and suceed.. But can't see us doing that in the premiership under Pearson!!

You may well be right about Pearson but I really don't want to agree with you because I want him to succeed.

I've criticised Pearson's tactics as much as the next man but I'd have to seriously question what we were thinking if we replaced him with Pulis or Pardew.

I don't understand your point. Both are good managers, look at both of their records in this league. Pardew done good jobs at West Ham and Newcastle and he is currently doing well with Crystal Palace. Pulis was a miracle worker at Stoke and Crystal Palace and I bet you anything West Brom stay up under his leadership. If earlier in the season Pearson did get sacked you would be an idiot to be against either of them taking over. That however didn't happen so the point of this article is non existent. Better to regret the things we have done then the things we haven't and we HAVE recruited poorly and played terribly at times but we HAVEN'T sacked Pearson.

2 of them have Premiership know how.. The other???... Now Pulis is at WBA have we missed the chance to stay in this league??

There's a guy at millwall with premiership know how too...

Laughable rhetoric. They didn't "slaughter" us in every aspect. We didn't capitalize on the few chances we had and one fatal lapse of concentration (weak positioning) allowed them to score in the second half. We were on course for a point, maybe even could've nicked it - who knows?

Not excusing the piss-poor second half, mind.

Why is it you only show up here when we've played badly? Why is it you cannot give credit to the manager and the team when we've won?

Explain me that.

Im very much a Pearson fan and definitely do NOT want him sacked. But sometimes you need to take your blue tinted specs off.

When we win it's all going to be ok, when we loose we are doomed

It's simple the gap is 3 and there are loads of points to play for so we have every chance

However, we are bottom for a reason, and if you look around I can't really see 3 worse teams than us, so we need a slice of luck along the way

Pearson needs to take some for the flack, he thought too many of the championship squad were good enough for this league, and given how well last season went I can see how that happened. But they are not .

So let's get behind them and give it a good go. There will be time for a postmortem either way later on

Ooo be careful, you'll be accused of being negative!... Not allowed on here you know!

You're becoming embarrassing.

And repetitive.

Why is he? Because his opinion is different to yours and others? The same could be said about people saying "it's fine" and "everything will be ok" and "we will stay up". My opinion is different to Weller54's but isn't that what this forum is for? Debates and discussions? I'm all for a bit of banter but some of the posts aimed at Weller54 are borderline cyber-bullying and intolerable quite frankly. Give the guy a break and just explain what is different about your opinion or alternatively ignore his posts, simple.

2 of them have managed at this level for years, the other is in his first season at this level. It's a learning curve for Nige as well as the players.

I keep saying it. Pearson has learnt f--k all, this season. That's half our problem.

'Almost worked '??..You're the joke my friend!!!... Stoke slaughtered us in every aspect.. Least at the end of the season you can say we 'almost stayed up '...take your blinkers off!!

Stoke did an admirable professional job on us. As soon as you saw the midfield it was always going to be difficult against a tough robust Stoke side that have rightly earned their place in this league over a period of years, gradually adding class like Bojan as they've gone along. With the midfield Pearson had no choice due to suspension and injuries. Hammond (our Whelan), plus James, might have made the difference but they weren't available. Would have liked to have seen Allbrighton but apart from that I thought Pearson did the best he could. Teams like Stoke have built their squad over a period of years, this is our first year up. Who knows who Pearson wanted and who turned us down, why do some people think that we would be seen as a great club to aspire to by some foreign player who has perhaps only heard of Man u, Liverpool and a place called London. They do the best they can in the market they can operate in for a number of reasons. We'll get stronger given time even if it means going up and down a bit like West Brom. We're in a better position now with this owner and Pearson than we have been for many years.

MHC, I appreciate your support and thank you.. Don't worry too much about the arrogant postings of some on here, I do understand that passionate LCFC supporters can take opinions of others rather too personally..But fundamentally we all want our beloved team to succeed..some will see my comments as being pessimistic or realistic.. A forum is to air these different opinions, we all won't see things the same, be boring if we did!.. But once again many thanks for your supportive posting.

I find it a bit tiresome to say the least to see the bleating about not being able to post negative comments on Foxes Talk. The forum is generally full of them after a defeat, and whilst some are reasonably constructive, others seem to follow a consistent, dreary pattern.

I've seen enough in the last few weeks to suggest we are getting on track, possibly enough to get out of trouble. in this respect yesterday was a 'stumble' in terms of performance and result.

Bottom of the table team, who were missing 3 key players (at least) lose 0-1 to a well-established Premier League club.

I think sometimes we read into everything too much. We lose a game therefore we're destined for relegation and our manager is hopeless. I don't buy into that. Yes, we were bad but sometimes we're good. Performances are often inconsistent. It's not just Leicester. Relegation is between about 6 teams and it really could go down to a bit of luck.

A stumble perhaps, but this game was so pivotal to our survival (looking at forthcoming fixtures).. My question is was Pearson quite thinking straight in such a hugely important game?.. Starting with Vardy and Nugent, with our top scorer Ulloa on the bench and leaving out Albrighton altogether (when he performed so well the week before), then to bring on Lawrence instead of him later?.. And, why risk keeping Was on when he was clearly in danger of getting a red, with Liam Moore the ideal substitution??... So many strange managerial decisions that probably cost us the game?... So, going back to my original debate.. I wonder if Pulis or Pardew would have made such fatal decisions in such a hugely important game??

I'm guessing Vardy and Nugent for pace, particularly as Stoke struggled badly with this last weekend against Arsenal. Our real problem yesterday was in centre midfield, where we had absolutely no control, but it was Hobson's choice in there really, with all the injuries/suspension.

Subbing Was - maybe?

I'll give you Albrighton.

However, Pearson would have certainly expected more than 2 or 3 players to be on their game.

Yep, we were snookered in midfield!!.. Shame the Maloney deal didn't happen, but that had smacks of the Mcarthur summer transfer all over again!!!

Are you in possession of all the facts?

Do you know how fit Ulloa and Albrighton are for instance?

Pearson does and this is what influences his decisions.

Granted.. But this isn't the first time Pearson has made some unbelievable team selections /substitutions... But, yes they might have carrying knocks, but couldn't have been that serious as they were on the bench!???
