2 of them have managed at this level for years, the other is in his first season at this level. It's a learning curve for Nige as well as the players.

Come on!!!.. Look at Pearson's team selection and substitute decision making yesterday!.. That game was HUGE, it was a winnable fixture.. And he got it ALL wrong!

Our owners have stuck and backed a manager who is clearly out his depth and doesn't seem to learn, so ultimately we will pay the price for that, lose all our better players and most likely struggle next season like most relegated teams. With only 4 wins all season, 2 of which were very very lucky we simply don't have the quality to do it. He has continued to stick with weak defenders and 'nothing' midfielders so we will end up were this squad deserves to be.

Where were you when we were winning?

Sadly, the knee-jerkers that are coming out of the woodwork again, now that we've lost once more, are completely oblivious to that fact and continue to compare apples to prunes.

The team selection was partly forced due to the injury situation, Mahrez absent at the AFCON and James' suspension. Pearson thought speed would get him past the Stoke defense - and it almost worked. We had a few good chances to score in the first half, Knockaert in particular was wasteful.

He didn't get it all wrong, but keep on dishing out general accusations. You're a right laugh. Perfect for a Sunday morning.

'Almost worked '??..You're the joke my friend!!!... Stoke slaughtered us in every aspect.. Least at the end of the season you can say we 'almost stayed up '...take your blinkers off!!

Some city fans are unbelievable. I don't think they will accept we are down even when we appear in next seasons championship fixture list. The man in charge of at least assembling a squad that would give us a chance has failed massively despite decent funds, but at least we can take comfort in being better than Burnley in every dept..... (Maybe except manager).

We got more chance of points against Man Utd and Arsenal than we have against Palarce - why - because Pearson cannot motivate his players against weaker sides and that has nothing to do with premiership 'nouse'.

He would say 'we approach every game in the same way' as some sort of ridiculous appeasement for poor performances against poor opposition. Not good enough Nigel, we MUST be competitive against weaker opposition or we will be relegated.

We are and always have been poor against lesser teams in whatever league we play in under Pearson - FACT! - This must change.

As for all the 'spin' that some fans like to put on this ' yes but no but no but yes but we are good against better sides' means naff all if we want to stay up.

Man up Nige, look in the mirror and face facts - if you can't get your players motivated to win games against poor opposition you should do the honourable thing and resign, not wait for the sack!

You gotta start doing it right!

Ooo be careful, you'll be accused of being negative!... Not allowed on here you know!

Laughable rhetoric. They didn't "slaughter" us in every aspect. We didn't capitalize on the few chances we had and one fatal lapse of concentration (weak positioning) allowed them to score in the second half. We were on course for a point, maybe even could've nicked it - who knows?

Not excusing the piss-poor second half, mind.

Why is it you only show up here when we've played badly? Why is it you cannot give credit to the manager and the team when we've won?

Explain me that.

I take it you've completely ignored Leicester City 1-0 Aston Villa.

Plus they have taken over at clubs that are already semi-established in the Premier League and IMO have squads that are superior to quite a few clubs that will finish below them.

It remains my hope that Pearson will be our manager for years to come.  COYB!  :scarf:

I seriously haven't a clue who some of our fans think we are.  We haven't been in the Premier League in a decade and yet some saw Stoke City, a fully established Premier League team currently sat comfortably in the top half of the table as a stick-on win.

I will always praise the team and celebrate victories.. I want our team to be successful, like all of us... But I'm not going to walk around in rose coloured glasses either.. We've won 4 league games all season!.. Stoke away (very fortunate), Man Utd (due to their incompetence after being 3-1 up), Hull away (we got battered and got lucky), and Villa (who are dire and will get relegated).... The summer transfer window fiasco will cost us our premier league status, and Pearson has to take responsibility.. I truly want us to stay in this league but, like most other posters on this forum we all know it's not going to happen. Yesterday’s game was pivotal on our chances of survival.
