The Blur Posted 18 January 2015 Author Posted 18 January 2015 Phew guys Here are the latest table and cup results Steve_Walsh5 0 vs 65RosesFox 0 Steve go through based on his 9th position in last season compared to 65Roses Fox's 10th Captain 0 vs Des 0 Des went through because he finished 4th to Captain's 13th The Doctor 2 vs StanSP 11 Wookie 0 vs ScouseFox 4 Facecloth came back in the style this month snapping up loads of points and throwing himself in the lead however The Doctor will be encouraged by the fact Facecloth nearly blew nine points lead last season. Stan SP also enjoyed his finest month with 11 points. Is this the time where he finally shake off his inbetweeners tag and become 'in crowd' instead? Aus Fox also enjoyed a fine debut with six points and a sporting gesture to boot. Will he able to overcome his time zone difference to challenge for that 4th spot? Meanwhile in the cup- there were several stalemates but Steve and Des found themselves in semi final despite not lifting a finger- come on guys more effort next time please Stan also pulled off an upset which could be described in wrestling terms as low-blowing exhausted The Doctor and pinning him after The Doctor battled off Facecloth in the previous round. ScouseFox also continued his strong showings and progressed as well. See you all next month!

Priority is the cup I think!Go for a double or even treble, I got a new idea for another cup competition later in the year.He did have the advantage of me doing another pub quiz on Sundays between 7 and 9pm during term time. I know Stan got bit lucky by your absence, I was just trying to inject bit of drama into it. Seriously though if you have able to participate it would be still a close one because Stan was on the form today. Aw, I thought my quizzes are all conquering and take priority over everything else . That is bit gutting because I was hoping for a thrilling title race, just do best as you can and catch up in the summer or rest of the year if this is your final year. Good stuff. Could you, you know, let us know the date and exact time of next month's competition? PM me if you want It will be on second Sundays every month if it is possible otherwise it will be on third then fourth and so on until it is conducted. This month was late as there was a mix up with my magazine subscription but I will PM dates/times to everyone who participated in this season so far- others, if you read this and want to join from next month just PM me and ask me to add your name.
