NP team a deliberate team selection and set up for utd?.

We never go out to not compete in games. That would be classed as match fixing. Sometimes a team can have a bad day, United played well first half yesterday, their quality won them the game. if you're suggesting we rested players for the 'more important' Palace game, why would we do that. It's a week away, we don't have any cup matches or European games before that. I agree that we need to get a few results that defy the odds, but it's not a case of being resigned to defeat if we don't.

He may have rested injury prone or players with a slight injury for a more winable game.

He would not be the first manager to do that.

Yesterday was more like an FA cup tie in the grand scheme of things.

In comparison to next week, yes it was.

If we go down it'll be because we haven't won enough home games against the sides in and around me. Not because we didn't 'have a go' away at Old Trafford. Get a grip you clown.

So now you are telling me in order to survive we must beat the teams In and around us,and all the other games don't matter... We're doomed

If you know anything about football, then you would have known Albrighton is a out and out winger and Vardy is a centre forward, there is a massive difference,it's not me being clever,it's common sense.

So rather coming down on your high horse, give me some logic in your thinking.

I'm saying that the outcome would have been the same.

I know plenty about football, enough to realise that we're not the first and we certainly won't be the last to be roundly beaten by Man United at Old Trafford.

Your pathetic nitpicking is just sad. You're the typical armchair fan who thinks they know better than someone who spends every day with his players.

Jamie Vardy put in one of the greatest ever Leicester City performances when he played on the wing against Man United earlier in the season, stuff that logic up your ****ing arse.

Yes the only performance of note all this season!

Your pathetic post got my attention in the first place,so who is the moron?

I disagree with resting injury prone players, because it's not like we play 3 times a week where he has too. If NP felt that other players would make a difference then he would have played those players.

As for the 'more winnable' games, in the first half we beat Stoke away and United at home. So tell me how you define 'more winnable'. Football is unpredictable.

The post where I defended our manager after we lost at Old Trafford? How awful of me.

Have you been in a ****ing coma mate? Get a grip.

You quoted me which obviously got my attention,so it's you need that needs to get a grip.

I've been a supporter for 35 years, season ticket holder for 20,I say it as I see it,if I don't like Vardy on the wing,I will say so.

I like the majority were not happy with the team yesterday,Man U or not,you have to give yourself the best possible chance of winning, and we didn't.

If you don't like that then well that's your opinion,I worn certainly lose any sleep

I doubt anyone was happy about yesterday's result and you are right vardy was not great on the flank but have some perspective. We don't know why Pearson came to this decision or if the better option as you put it would have had a positive impact.

What we do know is that we are still in with a decent chance of escaping this and negative hissy fit aren't helping anyone. Nigel will be given the season at least, get used to it, back the lads whatever the outcome and we might end the season with a bit of dignity.

Or you could just sulk and throw insults around.

I'm fed up simple as that, the reason is I don't think we are a bottom 3 side, and if we go down questions will be asked, and one of them is certain to be team selection.

As I've already said yesterday's game was a long shot, but bloody hell you have to compete.

I don't mind losing,it's the manner in which way we lost.

It wasn't a nice defeat, non of them are but even Martin O'neills teams had games where we got well beat, in fact routinely at Highbury. West brom got tonked at home by Spurs, who we beat last week. It doesn't really affect the league table how you get beat, it's just you got beat. Win against palace and this game will be a distant memory.

No matter what 11 out of the 25 we put out, or how they're lined up, it wouldn't have made a difference on the result - we looked like little school kids visiting the big boys' den for the day, well and truly played off the park in every area of the pitch. We looked so far out of our depth I could feel the smirk on LVG's face pull closer to wanting to make us pay for the reverse fixture - if anything we're lucky this is Man United who when comfortably winning, couldn't give a shit about demolishing the opposition, it could have easily of been 6/7/8 goals from the quality and inexperience of playing a much superior, dominating and confident team.

As for his team selections..

Schwarzer's experience (although I thought he did pretty poor except his distribution)

Vardy's chasing down + nuisance and aggravation from reverse fixture (Didn't work because of the above pure domination and superiority)

King + Drink because we won vs Tottenham, and I presume Cam/Hamm's fitness would have potentially ruled them out for even longer with the amount of chasing and tackling they'd have to do vs the.. pure domination and superiority of Manchester United's entire starting 11.

The way it's presented suggests any other manager could've taken our team to Old Trafford and got a result, or at least been competitive. I don't think we stood a chance unless they were using Blackett/Smalling/Keane etc and we had enough players to crows the midfield. Pearson would have tried to motivate us by 'looking back' at the reverse fixture, but ultimately we were outplayed by the better team. Jose Mourinho would have lost that game with our team.

I can see why Vardy was picked, I just think Vardy has become a 'useful player' to have on the pitch at times, it didn't work how we wanted it to, and by the time we could have done something about it, we were 3 - 0 down, and that wasn't down to Vardy's lackluster performance either - they were better, and made our back-line look like the slow, aging inconsistent defense we know them to be vs Burnley, let alone Manchester United. But the midfield couldn't get a hold on the game at all, and were 'out of it' for the majority - 29% possession no matter who you're playing, is a bitch to contain and we only ever looked threatening when United were 3 - 0 up already, the positive is, that we did actually threaten at times, and managed to score - thanks to Albrighton's stunning cross which made the United defenders jump like balloon heads.

Hamer, Huth, Albrighton, James, and Cambiasso HAVE to come in for the Palace game, and we should look like a very improved side. Would keep Kramaric / Ulloa, although both looked extremely isolated and at times, very poor - Kram did have a moment of brilliance skinning Shaw though, get him on the ball at home and we could be seeing W's.

Fair post, tho I dont think the defence, should take too much blame, especially this games again like many before, the midfield was and is being consistently over ran, giving the defence no respite, the week in week out low possesion count shows that.

Stemming the tide, and having no real outlet should not be a continous job for the defence, my opinion,, we should be filling our midfield, then breaking using our pace a little more than we are .Why not try Schlupp and Vardy up front and swap between

Ulloa and Krameric sitting just behind.Trying the Arsenal past tactics.I believe if we can sure up the midfield, the defence would have it easier, giving us better chances to move forward at pace.We dont have the skill to play only 2-3 players across the middle, next to Cambiasso we dont have any hard rugged players, Hammond breaks down moves, but isnt hard enough to

carry a move on forward wise.

Everyone expects too much from us as a football club. When we win, automatically expectations rise to the levels where all players have performed magnificently and when we lose it seems like everything has gone wrong. Players, managers and even the fans are questioned.

This was the same 11 that started the game against Spurs and played 'magnificently'. After that game many people on here were praising the players, talking about how its our year.....etc. A week later the same 11 lose against United. NP doesn't know what he's doing...why didn't player x play?

Hindsight is a wonderful thing in football, but no one knows what's going to happen. Did United know the class of 92 would help them dominate for 20 years? What I've learnt in football, is that players that have proven themselves in the past do not lose their class. Drinkwater and Vardy were two of our better players from last year. They are both going through bad form and its a valid point to say that they should be dropped. But if a manager trusts that these players are good enough to play then that's his perogative.

Finally, David Moyes last year had a record of never playing the same team in consecutive games. For me, it's spineless for a manager to chop and change week in week out.

Disagree, being bottom 2/3 of the season over we have given the run of the park over too easy.

I dont or cant offer a solution, because, it may just not be in the squads skill or holding capabilties.

Maybe if this squad survives we may see next season this team of players, show a totally different character.

I support Pearson, but not a Pearsonite for the sake of it, and not because of this last game, I believe we will go down.

I still expect the players to have a kick in them, but I dont see us winning enough of the 'hard and should of' points.

UNLESS..........

Sorry which part do you disagree with again?

I'm not saying we will stay up, I'm not massively confident, nor am I a pearsonite or whatever that is.
