MidKentFox Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Right guys need a bit of advice...future father-in-law has got me tickets for tonight's game, but he's Arsenal through n through, so sitting in the Arsenal end! I'll be honest, I've never been to an away game (plenty of home games when I'm up) so what are my chances? Do I be polite to my future dad and keep shtum or do I say fack it, I love my team n shout from the rafters?! Don't want to get in any trouble but don't want to seem like I'm not interested?!?

Probably best to keep your head down mate, although if Kramaric scores a 89th minute winner , that will be almost impossible.
MidKentFox Posted 10 February 2015 Author Posted 10 February 2015 That's what I'm worried bout...not known for being placid when it comes to city!
KFS Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 That's what I'm worried bout...not known for being placid when it comes to city! My Dad sat through Forest away in with their lot when Knocky scored the winner. You'll be fine, just hang about with our lot at the end and have a sing song. The Emirates is probably the least hostile place to go, so I'd say respect the Gooners; but you won't get lynched if you make it known.
StanSP Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Yeah don't make a big fuss cos you never know who might be around you but they're not exactly a scary or angry bunch at Arsenal. I don't think any team likes away supporters in their end though so I wouldn't make too much of a noise that you support City!
Collibosher70 Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Go for it but just be aware of who is around you....sat in many away ends and got away mainly Scott free..apart from Derby..portsmouth
cambridgefox Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Score early ( hope) I wouldn't,stewards could chuck you out. Made a schoolboy error years ago at Villa,Claridge( ex Brum) scored ( I think)early doors and we leapt up.punched kicked and tea thrown over us.They scored same abuse, then just before HT Parker scores a penalty.Escorted out for our own safety, whilst being chased,it's comical now but whilst fleeing the mob I kicked over a load of lads beer that was on the ground ,causing more to join the chasing mob,it was like an episode of scooby doo or scooba don't!
Lasty Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 I wouldn't worry. City won't give you anything to get off your seat about anyway mate.
sly1 Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 You will be sitting down for most of it if not all of it mate
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 I went to chelsea away, back in the day when it was scary. We got a 2-2 with a last min pen, and it was the hardest thing to sit and not celebrate. I'd probably respect the guy you're with and not bring trouble his way, and like others have said it's very unlikely there'll be anything to cheer about.
SystonFox Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Fvck um lad. Buy a half half scarf cut it in half wipe the arsenal end down your crack and swirl the city half round your head. Take on the whole Emirates and constantly chant ONE NIGEL PEARSON
The Quick Brown Fox Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 If it's him that got the tickets then you should be careful. My mates a season ticket holder there and he's told me that if you sell or give tickets to away supporters your ticket can be suspended. I was in the home end for our draw with Liverpool, struggled not to celebrate our equaliser, good luck if we do manage to have something to celebrate.
Russell sprout Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 If arsenal stewards are anything like ours then you can jump up and down, and do as you like, don't worry about pissing off home fans, the stewards will likely eject them than you if there pissed off,if again there ouar like ours :-)
