  1. Here's a scenario and it might sound a bit stupid so forgive me... Member 1: First season as a member and been to 12 home games = 12 points. But every home game they go to, they also spend a fortune in the club shop (I've never spent a penny in there but assume you give your membership number at the till for a discount and it registers your spend?) Member 2: Been a member for four seasons and has 48 points but never spends any money in the club shop/concourse or on-line at LCFC/com Both apply for a ST next season. Could the club allocate an ST to member 1 with less points knowing they'll be big spenders at the club on-going (seeing as football these days seems to be all about money and business...), or would it automatically go to member 2 because they're 'next in line'? P.S I’m not member 1 in this scenario btw
  2. I'm self employed so not sure what the average company match is, but 12% sounds like an excellent benefit to me (I assumed most were around 6%) I'd say you're well ahead of the game putting a quarter of your salary into your pension at 35. Sounds like you're a man with a plan - good on ya
  3. Without being patronizing, there's something incredibly romantic and endearing about second tier teams in pursuit of the holy grail of top flight football (or even just survival in the second tier) I loved it under Little and MON as we attempted to get into the PL after years in the wilderness and chasing that dream is about as good as it gets as a fan IMO. Massive respect to the likes of Plymouth and other proper championship clubs with real die hard supporters. I hope some of them get to be as lucky as we were in achieving the ultimate pinnacle. We really were blessed.
  4. I want to give a shout out to the other teams in the Championship this season. Far too often when we've lost it's been a case of how 'shit' we've been, with not much recognition given to our opponents for actually 'doing a job' on us. There's been many examples of teams home and away that have played some decent stuff at times and tactically sussed us out and frustrated us - fair play to them. I know people moan that the overall quality of the Championship is poor but in terms of overall excitement, I've quite enjoyed it and in a perverse way will miss the madness of it all.
  5. Morphine is the best man - just wonderful stuff. Shame it’s not readily available so I have to make do with codeine on a daily basis instead. I actually got a stern ticking off from young Holly the nurse yesterday when I told her I’ve been taking 150-200mg of codeine a day for the last 10 years. She suggested I speak to a professional about weaning myself off and she told me in no uncertain terms to reduce my dosage. Shes right, I don’t need that much each day and it’s become a habit and I’ve become addicted. Fair play to her doing her job, she must only be about 21 but I see a bright future for her. Perfect bedside manner
  6. The John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford once again exceeds all my expectations. I had a big ‘scare’ Friday night relating to previous surgeries and feared the worst. Rang the SEU at JRH yesterday mid morning and they told me to come straight to their triage. Booked me in, gave me morphine for pain relief and I was assessed immediately. Decided I needed a procedure under GA and within a couple of hours I’d met the surgeon and anaesthetist (who I sensed were both called in especially on the weekend). Quick CAT scan then down to theatre. All sorted and in recovery just a few hours after arriving. Unbelievable service and outstanding staff as always. As a bit of a ‘frequent flyer’ here, having access to the team at JRH is the main reason we’ve never moved away from the area in 20 years. Had to post this to say how grateful I continue to be for our wonderful NHS (and I’m maybe still a bit high and emotional 🤪)
  7. What are the odds of Langstaff going to Wrexham do you think?
  8. I’m guessing you mean the old second division I’m still trying to get my head around League 1 being the third tier of English football
  9. You'd be well pissed off if you were a Leeds fan making the trip down there this evening. They've been absolutely awful. Tekka boo QPR though, outstanding performance
  10. I guess they've got to stay professional. Still 15 mins left so it's not 100% confirmed yet.
  11. We're not playing so the emphasis should be on QPR's survival really. We'll get our dues Monday night...
  12. Is this not the game you were expecting by any chance Goodman? You've only said it 27 times
