Suffolk_fox Posted 20 May 2008 Posted 20 May 2008 I want one. Never had one, being a PC guy, but I really wanna do online gaming - esp Call of Duty etc. Now I am not fussed, but the wife wants a Wii. Is there a shortage of normal 'Non Wii' games available on the Wii? Is it better than X Box or Playstation? Which should I go for???
JoeyB Posted 20 May 2008 Posted 20 May 2008 PS3 - best out there i thought that about the 360 till i played on the PS3 (now own one) 360 - good but has its limits Wii - Childs play First one
SamL Posted 20 May 2008 Posted 20 May 2008 I'm looking at investing in a new console and the one that took my eye was the 360. I don't think I'd use the Blue Ray so I'd rather save the £150 difference.
Samilktray Posted 20 May 2008 Posted 20 May 2008 If you want a games console for the better gaming experience go for the 360. But if you want more of a multimedia toy, go for the PS3. If you want something to enjoy when drunk with freinds, Wii.

billabob Posted 20 May 2008 Posted 20 May 2008 Atari or a gameboy with pokemon on it. online gaming could be hard though so ps3, or as an alternative you could not go online and actully go out with your mates with guns and play actual call of duty mixed with police (GTA) and other people and have a ball! (pro evo)
Tommeh Posted 20 May 2008 Posted 20 May 2008 You just started something that will never end. Agreed 360, all day long
Daggers Posted 20 May 2008 Posted 20 May 2008 Get a Wii if you have friends over regularly. Get a 360 because it's the better than the PS3 and cheaper with more games. Get a PS3 if you also want a blu-ray player cheaper than buying one. -------------------- I've got a 360, I love it. Wii's are novelty items that will be flogged cheap soon as thousands of the ones bought for Xmas are sitting being unplayed. Homes across the country have discovered that it is nothing more than last years bread maker / ice cream maker / foot spa / Remington fuzzaway...that's not knocking the fun you can have with it, it is simply the truth about the majority of people who bought one.
JoeyB Posted 20 May 2008 Posted 20 May 2008 PS3 are the bee's knees Wii are overrated. xbox360 are average
The Reverend Posted 20 May 2008 Posted 20 May 2008 A thread like this is not going to help you make a choice mate! You'll get mixed opinions. But the 360 is the best at the minute. More, better games and its cheaper. Ignore anyone who says you have to pay £50 for a wireless adapter - you dont, provided the 360 isnt miles away from your router. You do have to pay for live though - but thats because its a far better service. If you want a blu-ray player, get a PS3.
lildave3 Posted 20 May 2008 Posted 20 May 2008 Money no option - PS3 Money an option - 360 Phube is your relative - Wii

So yeah, PS3.
hairy Posted 20 May 2008 Posted 20 May 2008 It depends on what you want a console for. If you want it for immersing yourself for hours with little contact with those in the room with you then you want a PS3 or 360. If you want to enjoy those around you, then a Wii.

Basingstoke Fox Posted 20 May 2008 Posted 20 May 2008 Once again... Hahaha top class Though i talk to all my real friends through the 360 and there seem to be a few people on here who i will add when i get it back.

The xbox wins that one because Live is so good. So 360... Oh and only get the Wii if you want a fun party thing to go on every month or so. I couldnt spend any length of time on it. And the graphics are awful on the Wii compared to 360/ps3 imo
