Filbert_Ross Posted 22 December 2008 Posted 22 December 2008 A source in the Charlotte last night says, Kasabian will play 2 nights on Victoria Park in April. hopefully this will be true!!!
Filbert_Ross Posted 27 December 2008 Author Posted 27 December 2008 bass players brother told me and friends its happening 2nd week in May.
Austin Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 there playing the walkers at some point n all, bumped into catering staff from "ricoh" and she said theyve called them in to host the event at the walkers.
Guest Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 Sounds good. I've yet to see them live. They were great; it was the nobs in the audience that ruined the experience for me.

Didnt think the Walkers could host such an event due to the ground structure not being strong enough ? Sounds daft i know but sure we have covered the topic on here before
Ultra Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 The club said further structural work was needed. As far as I know, it has yet to be carried out.
Fosse Boy Posted 6 January 2009 Posted 6 January 2009 They were great; it was the nobs in the audience that ruined the experience for me. Yeah, I can imagine that sadly a band like Kasabian would attract the wrong sort of fan, but they always look to be an outstanding live outfit whenever I'm seen them on TV. Looking forward to the new album, anyone got any ideas of a release date?
lcfcrinaldi Posted 6 January 2009 Posted 6 January 2009 I think i heard start - mid summer. I also read that this might be theyre last album, wouldnt be completely shokked if it was to be honest. Maybe they will just take a massive break few years or something.

ASH17LCFC Posted 7 January 2009 Posted 7 January 2009 Why does every Man, Woman and child love Kasabian in Leicester ? Ok they're from Leicester but is that the only reason people bang on about them so much ? If they were from Derby or London would anyone even care ? I think they're ok at best.
Lillehamring Posted 7 January 2009 Posted 7 January 2009 i got their biography for xmas, should be quite interesting... i saw them at summer sundae a few years back, just after they exploded, but obviously they'd been booked before they were huge as they were on at about midday - very good tho, but not the best show ever, would have been better in the evening...

They're had 2 albums !!! They're hardly made it to the main event yet have they ? I don't get writing a book about a band who have had abit of a impact but nothing else. If it was about them touring with Oasis in 2005 it would be a huge seller though.

I was at that. It was a bit odd wasn't it? It's difficult to be rock and roll at lunch time. I was talked into seeing them at Rock City not long after, and I thought it was dreadful, but in fairness it was the busiest I've ever seen that venue, and everyone else was enjoying themselves

They're alright. Couple of decent singles.

Best I've seen them out of four times. Dont think they will ever be that good again.

If this was the case then we'd all be doing the same about Showaddywaddy. I've no intention of that. If only people from Leicester liked them then they wouldn't be as famous as they are now. Or do you just feel that every band in the world is inadequate compared to Oasis?

If it was about them touring with Oasis in 2005 it would be a huge seller though. considering you can buy books on people in the x-factor, i think kasabian are more than fair subjects for a biography, personally they aren't my favourite band, but i'm guessing it will be cool to read about the history of a band with references to places i have been, maybe even people i know... and can you please not refer everything back to oasis, a lot of people find them dull and your constant obsessive natter is making us even more bored---
