Can we avoid relegation for the 4th season on the trot this is the worst situation in those 4 years that we've been in with 9 games to go.

Previously with 9 games to go we were:

  • 2004/5 16th with 44 points - 3 points off relegation with a game in hand
  • 2005/6 18th with 40 points - 8 points off relegation
  • 2006/7 16th with 46 points - 9 points off relegation
  • 2007/8 21st with 41 points - 2 points off relegation having played 2 games more than the 22nd placed team

Even last season having not won for 10 games and with 3 games to go we were better placed being 5 points away from relegation prior to two successive away wins and we were shitting ourselves then!

Are we going to lose our exclusive position in the group of 9 teams never to have played below Division 2?

Will we no longer be able to proudly proclaim:

And then there were NINE - Man United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Everton, West Ham, Tottenham, Newcastle and LEICESTER

Will I be watching Division 3 football for the first time in 45 years of supporting Leciester City Football Club.

Come on don't sit on the fence, be honest with yourselves will we survive, not should we but will we?

I voted safety as you guys put in a good performance against bristol city, and I have a bad feeling it will be between us (saints) and sheff wed.

Unless there is a miracle with Cardiff losing 10 points, I can't see us staying up, Wednesday have a bit of confidence and should overtake us with their games in hand. To my despair, I think it will be us, Scunny and Colchester. Prove me wrong Leicester, please prove me wrong.

We'll be fine... we've got matches that we should win against S****horpe and Colchester and those at least should give us 6 points and then we'll pick up other points from other teams as well...

Knowing Leicester, we'll win about 5 in a row just to prove how well we should have played this year!

Useless... how can you say that? We've not played that badly sometimes and we still have to play worse teams and things are looking like they are improving as well!

Yes just like we did against Preston!

Exactly, if we can't win with 20+ attempts at goal when will we, some people are in need of a reality check, I suggest a long look at the foot of the table.

With just one goal (which we didn't score) in the last four games, it's not looking good.

Especially as all the teams around us are picking up results.

And our away form is so dire that I can't see us picking up points at Southampton or West Brom.

So we'd better set the satnavs for Cheltenham and Hartlepool..:(

Thats one match!!! Get real... its not going to happen every game is it!!!

Every match is completely different and so there is a chance every game that we could win! Just cause we didn't score yesterday doesn't mean that we aren't going to score in others!

Sorry mate you're wrong, just read the other posts. We're the only team that are struggling, everyone else is playing brilliant.

I seriously hope you are joking...

You can't give up with 9 games to go..... We will survive!!!

This is not about giving up it's about how you believe things will pan out in spite of what you might wish/dream etc.

Well everyone around us except us two won yesterday and seem to be playing better, since nigel pearson came in we are more organised and playing better. 5 Games since we last lost, but we need a win. I can see tuesday being another terribly boring midweek 0-0.

Until Leicester are actually in the bottom 3, then I'm confident of safety! Massive game against Southampton!!!! Going to be a very nervous affair, but hopefully Etuhu and Hendrie will play without fear and lift the side! If we see another performance like yesterday, then we should win quite easily.

Your positivity is fantastic and I applaud you for that, but I'm a pessimist and look at the hard facts; no goals in 3 of the last 4 at home, just 3 away wins all season, other teams around us finding form and with games in hand.

I hope you're right and I'm wrong but that's just the way I see it.

Can you tell the players then.... We have to believe, and I still believe!

We never do anything at your place, a draw is the least you'll get.

True, but a draw doesnt help anyone, that would be our fifth draw in a row. If either of us are going to get out of this situation we need wins.

Filbo Fox - Your optimism is becoming absolutely ridiculous. If you can't see that we're in trouble then you're mad.

Except the players don't..

Once the saints take the lead on Tuesday, the heads will drop and another defeat will follow.

Holloway has consistently shown he is incapable of motivating this group of players.

Time for some folk to take their heads out of the sand.

We're going down..:( :( :(

The posts on this thread only go to prove how NEGATIVE Leicester fans are... I mean I support them whole heartedly but you lot are a disgrace! There is plenty to be positive about and we are starting to look like a team that should be near the top not the bottom! How can you then say that things are dire and everything is terrible and all our players are awful blah blah blah... you are all so boring to listen to! How about you start SUPPORTING the team and getting behind them and actually believing that we have the ability to stay up as I and many other positive fans do! Its that kind of support and determination that the players will feed on... what you don't realise is that all this negativity WILL channel into the players performances and then the end up losing... OK, we aren't the best team ever and we are going to suffer defeats but why can't you just get behind the team and show your loyalty!!! If you don't like supporting the team and are just going to be negative then fook off and support someone else like Man Utd or Arsenal who win week in week out as you are doing this club no favours with your constant whining!!!
