Signed him on FM, and was in my Nigeria squad consistently. Great keeper on that.

didn't he play for Wolves at the Walkers the other year (or some loan team) and had an absolute shocker of a game?

qpr. i wouldn't say he had a shocker, he did make a pretty big cock up for our second though.

Surely as cover only for Conrad.

Would be pretty harsh on Logan if he gets kicked out now when he's waited for so long to be given a chance.

First sensible thing you've posted.

It would only be harsh if he was any good, but he isn't.

Oh hang on he saved a penalty against Middlesborough at the arse end of last season, he's awesome.

if you actually knew anything about goalkeeping you'd see Conrad is more than capable at this level, he commands his area better then Weale at the Macclesfield game you really could hear just how much he was talking to them where as Weale doesn't seem to as much, flaps less and probably has better distribution, he lacks in consistency but he's still young, especially for a keeper a good couple of games, with Weale being far from his form of last season and Conrad could keep him out

Well I clearly know more than you following that attempt at a critique.

Not since the dark days of Paul Henderson have I seen a goalkeeper kick the ball to the stands with such regularity. Logan is also very flat footed for a keeper and his positioning is woeful, look at Iwelumo's goal again and they way he plods along his line against Macclesfield.

We may as well go back to League One if people think COnrad Logan is a Championshp keeper, truly woeful.

Leicester City have signed Wolves goalkeeper Carl Ikeme on a 28-day emergency loan.

The 24-year-old was finalising his temporary move to City last night and will go straight into the first-team squad for the visit of Reading on Saturday.

City boss Paulo Sousa has drafted in the 6ft 4in keeper as cover for Chris Weale, who is battling to be fit after injuring his shoulder in the 3-0 defeat to Burnley last weekend.

Weale's injury is not as serious as first feared and Sousa had said he would assess his No.1 keeper today with a view to playing him against the Royals but admitted he was a doubt.

After capturing Ikeme, who came through the ranks at Molineux but has failed to establish himself in the first team, mainly because of a knee injury, Sousa is unlikely to risk Weale until he is fully fit.

Conrad Logan deputised as a substitute at Turf Moor and again at Leeds on Tuesday night in the Carling Cup.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa caretaker manager Kevin MacDonald has said the club have received no approach from City for striker Emile Heskey.

Heskey was linked with a move back to his home-town club when City assistant manager Bruno Oliveira said to the media last week that signing Heskey would have the impact they are looking for from a big signing.

However, MacDonald, who spent eight years as a player at Filbert Street and was caretaker manager at the club in 1994 when Heskey came through the ranks, said Villa were looking to keep hold of the former City striker.

"I've not had any talks with Leicester," said MacDonald said. "I live close by to Leicester so I know quite a few of the people and there has been nothing at all.

"I think Emile is a very, very good footballer. I had him as a young boy at Leicester and I've got a lot of time for him. I think he is a really good player.

"You don't play that often for England if you are not a good player. Whether other people agree is up to them but, in my opinion Emile has been a top player, for a long time. You don't play for Liverpool and win trophies if you are not.

"Aston Villa need as many good players as they can and then develop some other ones."

I spent many years playing as a keeper, so I know what I'm looking for when I watch then, our keepers for years, ever since Scrowcroft was on the wing for us have been told to kick to the wings as that's where 1 of our taller players have generally been, under Sousa we don't do that and Weale's kicking is often poor when he does go up field, Logan gets greater distance and is more accurate when kicking to Howard. If you think Ikeme is better then you are a moron

and please feel free not to watch if all you're going to do is moan about particular players even when they actually play well, far too many dick heads in the walkers are constantly doing that

Oh you played keeper in a game of 5-a-sides, you must know what's what then.

Again if Logan was any good, any good at all he wouldn't be a back-up to Chris Weale and spent time at such clubs as Luton Town and Stockport County.

Logan has managed to hit more disabled supporters this season than find a City player with his kicks, he is shocking.

We must have the most caring bunch of supporters in the world, we're a like a Barnardo's for below average footballers.

Are you here just to start an argument?

You're not the only one.

He does have a point though.

Someone else on here who plays in goal has been claiming how good Weale is.

Jimmy played in goal and doesn't rate him.

From that I think we can assume that being an amateur goalie does not give you any special insight into what makes a good professional goalie.

You're not the only one.

That thinks he's a mug, or agrees with Jimmy?

The one problem with Weale, well his major problem is the communication with the back line and midfield. I have been playing in goal for 3 years now and I started just as a shot stopper but know I'm decent at everything (May be being biased) apart from communication and it can cause havoc. I just hope Weale can iron out the creases and communicate better.

I feel sorry for Logan, he deserves a spot in the team I personally think he is a very good keeper for Championship.
