Are you here just to start an argument?

Moron.

This. every single one of his posts ive seen have been either negative or looking for an arguement.

That thinks he's a mug, or agrees with Jimmy?

The one problem with Weale, well his major problem is the communication with the back line and midfield. I have been playing in goal for 3 years now and I started just as a shot stopper but know I'm decent at everything (May be being biased) apart from communication and it can cause havoc. I just hope Weale can iron out the creases and communicate better.

I feel sorry for Logan, he deserves a spot in the team I personally think he is a very good keeper for Championship.

Both mate.

Err, if they offered training to you, shouldn't you have replied to them?

I was in a county cup game, no idea who against. Played a decent game they obviously saw something in me and the scout who was there (looking at there team, we are in Division 3) gave my dad a card told them to get in touch so we did E-mail, phone but after we had got in touch Leicester never replied.

So they didn't offer you training then did they?

Yeah but no, either way. I'll never make it so this is a bit pointless, i'll probably never play in Division 2 let alone ever play for Leicester even at the lowest level.

Chris Weale was fantastic for us for most of last season, and earned us a lot of points. But towards the end of last season, and start of this season he has started to slack a bit.

Aw diddums, so I don't play the happy clapper game and I'm here to cause an arguement, grow up FCS.

Please tell me what qualities Conrad Logan possesses to be a #1 keeper in the Championship.

Get a grip mate, you can be critical without being a jackass you know. Logan nor Weale are perfect but it doesn't mean to say if someone hits form they can't have a run in the team. It's no different to arguing about DJ or Fryatt and about who is"proven at this level". Everyone has an opinion and just because you think yours is right it doesn't mean it is. And it certainly doesn't give you the right to talk down to other people.

Maybe you know a lot about keeping, maybe other people that claim to know a lot about keeping do so as well. But at the end of the day if you knew as much as you seem to think you do, you wouldn't be posting on foxestalk you would be coaching somewhere.

Bye.

He does have a point though.

Someone else on here who plays in goal has been claiming how good Weale is.

Jimmy played in goal and doesn't rate him.

From that I think we can assume that being an amateur goalie does not give you any special insight into what makes a good professional goalie.

not true I rate Weale highly I merely said he hasn't reached his previous form for us and he has some obvious weaknesses, all things being equal Weale would be my no1 simply because he is more consistent then Conrad BUT Logan will improve more then Weale will, or at least has the potential to do so due to his younger age

How can you make such a statement?

He's been around for years and made no progress, why is that going to change? He went out on long term loans to get first team experience and is still a bench warmer.

GKs reach their prime in later years.

David James. England's 1st choice at the World Cup, aged 39.

Edwin Van Der Sar. Great keeper, Uniteds 1st choice, aged 39.

Well if both you and, Narborough and the other amateur goalie all rate Weale that that is all the proof that I need.

That amateur goalies don't have a clue about what it takes to be a good professional goalie.

Christ, people think Logan is good?

He terrifies me in a way I haven't felt since Kevin Pressman was gracing the Walkers.

Ikeme is total shit too, we need Weale fit badly.

Perhaps you'd explain why Logan terrifies you?

Or maybe list his catalogue of mistakes in a City shirt.

Because he looks about to make a horrific error every time the ball comes near him. He also has no command of his area, communication with the defence is non-existant, he has a tendancy to mis-judge crosses.

Basically, he is not the keeper you want if you are looking to challenge for promotion.

Generally, if one manager thinks a player is shit, they might just have made a mistake. When a succession of managers don't think someone is good enough, usually that's a pretty clear indication. Logan has got nowhere near our first team for about the past 5 years, under 156 different managers.

The 'Boro game at the end of last season is the only time I have ever seen him play competently.

I used to play in goal for my school team and for a five a side team.

I was gash for both so that makes me an authority on gash goalkeeping. Logan is an average goalkeeper and the only reason he's still here is the clubs he's been on loan to dont want him.

That really tells you all you need to know.

The only time i've seen this new fella play he was bloody awful so it really doesnt matter which one of them plays.

Hope this helps!

:dunno:

Nigel Pearson, who most on here agree knew a decent player, gave him a new 4 year deal so unless you are saying NP knows nothing he can't be as bad as you are saying

NP signed Ryan McGivern, he is not faultless.
