toonfox Posted 28 October 2007 Posted 28 October 2007 Just read the news of the world says he is being lined up as manager, its also on bbc page. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/g...ers/7066009.stm
davieG Posted 28 October 2007 Posted 28 October 2007 From the Fox site: wizzyfox Posted on 28/10 10:00 http://leicestercity.rivals.net/default.as...=3142,527809996 Manager News! Just heard on Radio Norfolk that Joe Royle's agent has said he is now meeting MM to discuss the Managers position! So it looks as if it will be Big Joe!
Flynny Posted 28 October 2007 Posted 28 October 2007 Okay it's not great but it's not THAT bad. Better than Megson just about.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 28 October 2007 Posted 28 October 2007 Sweet Lord. I'm all for experience, but experience of being a bit crap isn't going to get us anywhere. Let's go the whole hog and get Howard Kendall in
STUHILL Posted 28 October 2007 Posted 28 October 2007 We have ambition when it comes to playing in the Prem, why don't we ever seem to have ambition when appointing a new manager! We seem to be going after managers that league 1 clubs would even be iffy about appointing! Prefer to keep an inexperienced Taggart as a caretaker than appoint someone like Royal on a 3year contract!!!!
FleckneyFox Posted 28 October 2007 Posted 28 October 2007 Meanwhile, Mandaric has revealed his interest in Joe Royle, who he believes might well have the credentials to take over at the Walkers Stadium. "Everything I hear about him is good both as a manager and a man and that commands respect. I've been told he'd fit my style," he told the News of the World From SkySports at the bottom of the Burrows column

davieG Posted 28 October 2007 Posted 28 October 2007 he is just one of many being spoken to. not worth panicking about just yet I think this calls for Mr Mannering
Matt Posted 28 October 2007 Posted 28 October 2007 he is just one of many being spoken to. not worth panicking about just yet But that's just it, Why is he even considering him? And who else have we got to worry about that he's talking to?!
Chairman of the Bored Posted 28 October 2007 Posted 28 October 2007 Mandy said yesterday on Radio Leicester the interviews will start today. Sunday Mirror has Jewell being touted and that Mandy will try for a "second time" to tempt him to Leicester. We live in hope.
FleckneyFox Posted 28 October 2007 Posted 28 October 2007 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Royle If you look his record isnt actually that bad?
Brainy Posted 28 October 2007 Posted 28 October 2007 It's about time the fans realised we can't get the perfect manager. I wouldn't mind Royle.
Suffolk_fox Posted 28 October 2007 Posted 28 October 2007 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_RoyleIf you look his record isnt actually that bad? Agreed. Living as I do in Suffolk (The clue is in the name!) I know a lot of Ipswich fans who really went berserk* when he was appointed manager there, but he did ok! Got into play offs regularly... * Though this did have something to do with his Norwich City links
Matt Posted 28 October 2007 Posted 28 October 2007 It's about time the fans realised we can't get the perfect manager.I wouldn't mind Royle. Cos' Megson was alright, I'd have happily settled for him and we were going places under his management! I (for one) realise we can't get the perfect manager, we're an average (prehaps less than) Championship team, A power happy Chairman renowned for shaking things up and your job is never safe with him, but Megson, Now we're linked to Royle, I know we haven't got alot going for us but we can do better than those two for sure. I'm not gonna get back into the argument but Milan should have put his ego behind him when it came to Allen. Thing that worries me is that the interviews with Milan, It seems he is upset about Megson leaving, why? He's saved his money not have to pay him off, Megson was shite anyway, but he's upset about it, As I said i'm not getting back into the Allen argument but at least Milan knows how the majority of the fans felt when he sacked Allen
davieG Posted 28 October 2007 Posted 28 October 2007 And I'm sure its spelt Royle... It is but this is his Regal cousin
He's not bald Posted 28 October 2007 Posted 28 October 2007 It is but this is his Regal cousin I don't care who he fooking is!
Suffolk_fox Posted 28 October 2007 Posted 28 October 2007 I don't care who he fooking is! Will command a Princely sum, no doubt...
Nationwider Posted 28 October 2007 Posted 28 October 2007 He was the last English manager to win the FA Cup.
