Well at the end of the day, this shite season is mainly down to the players, they have to take the majority of the blame, but Milan has certainly played his part in a shit season he has to take some of the blame, I just wonder if he realises that though.
sdb Posted 19 April 2008 Posted 19 April 2008 i'm not sure MM's done that much wrong. All he can do is appoint/sack managers and whilst Ollie aint doing great, nobody would have seen us doing this badly. There's a lot of usless players here (many brought in by managers that MM got rid of (in hindsight, quite rightly), he got Megson in which sorted out our defence (and a goal difference which may save us) and we made a nice profit on him too. I feel for MM a bit, he's put a fair bit of money into this club and got jack shit back. There is the argument that he can create unrest and uncertainty but if you look back he's not made any decisions which at the time seemed that bad (i.e. nobody thought appointing Ollie/MA were terrible decisions, and Megson did no harm). I'm kinda playing devils advocate but I do feel for him...shoot me down!!!
gosfox Posted 19 April 2008 Posted 19 April 2008 No shooting down from me!!!! I think LCFC could well have been in a even worse state had Milan not moved in
Candidcamera Posted 19 April 2008 Posted 19 April 2008 It was a nightmare from the start this season. M Allen was not what we needed and had to go. Look at the players he bought for a start. Then Megson let Milan down but the majority of the supporters didn't agree with the managers style of play and couldn't really care when he went. Ollie has IMO not been a failure and he needs time. Milan has to be partly responsible but its hard to blame him. The plus side is still the same at the club we have got some good young players and the fans are great.

Manwell Pablo Posted 19 April 2008 Posted 19 April 2008 I've got 2 words "Trust Me"!!!!! I believe it was four words"You can Trust Me" Not a request, a statement. Which is even worse!
NewquayFox Posted 19 April 2008 Posted 19 April 2008 I have said this on an earier thread and I was slated for it,but I dread to think where we would be if MM hadnt taken control of the club. If we stay up (I think we will) we should keep Ollie, but have a massive clear out in the summer,City have a great youth policy, fantastic fans and hopefully give it a real go next season (I think I said that at the start of this season) ;0)

Ultra Posted 19 April 2008 Posted 19 April 2008 No shooting down from me!!!! I think LCFC could well have been in a even worse state had Milan not moved in Absolutely. Because we were definitely on course for administration and relegation when he took over, weren't we? I'm so glad we can all look forward to a bright positive future under his serene guidance..
Thracian Posted 19 April 2008 Posted 19 April 2008 MM's not done too much wrong? Words fail me. By any standards our season has been a catastrophic chapter of non-stop under performance and poor decision making.
sdb Posted 19 April 2008 Posted 19 April 2008 MM's not done too much wrong? Words fail me.By any standards our season has been a catastrophic chapter of non-stop under performance and poor decision making. yes but MM isn't a member of our playing staff is he?? we've been crap of course but it's the players who have let us down, not the chairman
Thracian Posted 19 April 2008 Posted 19 April 2008 yes but MM isn't a member of our playing staff is he?? we've been crap of course but it's the players who have let us down, not the chairman I think we'll agree to disagree.
jonw88 Posted 19 April 2008 Posted 19 April 2008 Did anyone hear that David Beckham and Tom Cruise are looking to buy a football club in England?? Maybe Milan could sell to them, then we can take over the world with our scientology powers.... mwahahaha...

Words fail me.By any standards our season has been a catastrophic chapter of non-stop under performance and poor decision making. What is wrong with you If you had half a brain you would have realised its the fault of the managers and players, milan HAS backed all the managers here this season there seems a lot of people on here making literally hundreds of posts complaining about our chairman, maybe he has picked the wrong managers but at least hes had the balls to sack them, anyone who thinks martin allen was a decent manager is a sandwich short of a picnic. I he was that good then why is is on the bloody dole now. Weve paid for the mistakes made in the summer if milan had not sacked him when he did we may well have been relegated by now.

Jose Mourinho is still on the dole as well, are you suggesting he's a crap manager too? No ones knows what Martin Allen would have or wouldn't have achieved here because he was only in charge for four games - hardly enough to judge the man.

No ones knows what Martin Allen would have or wouldn't have achieved here because he was only in charge for four games - hardly enough to judge the man. Mourinio would hardly be short of offers from clubs all over europe to become there manager, im sure he is just waiting fo the right offer to come along where as martin allen would probably take a coaching role with nuneaton borough. cant believe youve mentioned mourinio in the same sentance as martin allen. You can judge him on the players he bought into lcfc, if he was to have a sucessfull season he would have to have sold nearly all the players he bought in the summer and replaced them by the autumn and then how could you guarantee the next lot woulld have been any better than the morons he paid good money for in the summer so yes of course you can judge him after four games.
Steven Posted 20 April 2008 Posted 20 April 2008 This posted by western road on TB. Two Sunday Newspapers(People..Mirror)Report that Milan is in difficulty The People says we are £17.5mill in debt and the Mirror say that M.M is ready to bail out of our club after another disastrous season with debts mounting and the belief M.M. is running out of funds, it goes on to say that people on the inside fear the possibility of Administration that will see us docked 10 points and into League One as a result
davieG Posted 20 April 2008 Posted 20 April 2008 You may laugh but I bet that figure of £17mill is pretty accurate as we were losing £6mill a year prior to MM and if he's put in (loaned) £11mill you can see where it comes from. That's not counting the near £20 mill we still owe on the stadium. You've then got to add in what changes he'll need to do to the squad next season, more pay-offs for the likes of Hellings & Kish, the cost of improving the squad, the recurring £6mill annual loss whilst we remain in this league and it mounts up to a massive figure. Remember despite all the misleading media crap about £25 mill MM has never ever really put 'big' money into his clubs. Whether he'll stick around I don't know but I'm sure he didn't anticipate the almight balls up we've got ourselves into.
Steven Posted 20 April 2008 Posted 20 April 2008 davieG, that sig is even better than the titanic one It is a classic.
the beange Posted 20 April 2008 Posted 20 April 2008 I think the only things that have messed us up this season would be the ammount of managers we have had come and go and left the players to there own devices, and to adapt to a new playing style. And the players lack of momentum towards winning matches. But hey we won yesterday so im happy another 3 points up the table. can't say much bad. was a class day out !
Daggers Posted 20 April 2008 Posted 20 April 2008 Ahhh...The People and The Mirror. Goliaths of the newspaper industry and paragons of good journalistic practice.
