Ahhh...The People and The Mirror.

Goliaths of the newspaper industry and paragons of good journalistic practice.

And yet the Mirror with the help of MM's 'pal' have got many things spot on :dunno:

Because he leaked good news/putting him in a good light stories to them.

You seriously think he has given this to them?

M.M is ready to bail out of our club after another disastrous season with debts mounting and the belief M.M. is running out of funds, it goes on to say that people on the inside fear the possibility of Administration that will see us docked 10 points and into League One as a result

I don't.

It smacks of lazy journalism. Whether there is any truth in it at all is not my point - I simply don't trust tabloid scare stories.

Mirror and People reporting that MM wants out, says we are approaching financial meltdown and MM is getting short of funds, admin beckons, this season!

Hope this is just papers making mischief.

Also said on radio that Martin George was at the game yesterday after a long absence, could the two be connected?????

1. We were going nowhere before we had investment and could have got totally tats up

2. MM came in to get us on the cheap, plough money in and get us in the Premier quick to make an easy profit but we dont care as long as we are in the promised land.

3. He hires managers and backed them with more money but none have been as astute tactically or in the transfer market and we are in it knee high.

4. We struggle from manager to manager but might stay up.

Not MMs fault totally but he made the decisions on Smegson, Holloway and MA so he is accountable for that however the main blame lies with the players and managers(s)/management who have ballsed things up big time. Thanks for trying MM and we know you wont be leaving us with a huge loss so lets be greatful we have him?

But he knew how to pick a manager.

aha - but did he give a million away to agents while personally signing a load of crap after seeing them on YouTube? Now that's skill

i'm not sure MM's done that much wrong. All he can do is appoint/sack managers and whilst Ollie aint doing great, nobody would have seen us doing this badly. There's a lot of usless players here (many brought in by managers that MM got rid of (in hindsight, quite rightly), he got Megson in which sorted out our defence (and a goal difference which may save us) and we made a nice profit on him too. I feel for MM a bit, he's put a fair bit of money into this club and got jack shit back.

There is the argument that he can create unrest and uncertainty but if you look back he's not made any decisions which at the time seemed that bad (i.e. nobody thought appointing Ollie/MA were terrible decisions, and Megson did no harm).

I'm kinda playing devils advocate but I do feel for him...shoot me down!!!

Appointing Allen was a crap decision and we paid for it eventually, losing precious time and buying players who didnt fit.

after a day of jubilant scenes at Oakwelll yday i hope we can just rally together for a very important week and keep all the negativity to a minimum.

It seems some people would like us to go down just so they can say'Told you MM was crap!"

Thats pretty sad.

Sure MM has made fcuk ups and that has already been said in many a threads already.

BUT i do believe IF we can just stay up this season and keep the same manager over the summer we really can push on next season.

LETS HAVE SOME POSITIVITY!!!!!!! :)

This makes no sense what so ever. If Milan was financially in the poo then why would he help/let Ollie pay-off 9 players in January? Or hows about those Loan players we've got that we've already agreed fees for?

The amount Milan has invested it makes no sense for him to give up now. He's been in football long enough to take what's happened.

You may laugh but I bet that figure of £17mill is pretty accurate as we were losing £6mill a year prior to MM and if he's put in (loaned) £11mill you can see where it comes from.

That's not counting the near £20 mill we still owe on the stadium.

You've then got to add in what changes he'll need to do to the squad next season, more pay-offs for the likes of Hellings & Kish, the cost of improving the squad, the recurring £6mill annual loss whilst we remain in this league and it mounts up to a massive figure.

Remember despite all the misleading media crap about £25 mill MM has never ever really put 'big' money into his clubs.

Whether he'll stick around I don't know but I'm sure he didn't anticipate the almight balls up we've got ourselves into.

davieG Yeah i think you could be about right. I dont think MM seen anything like this comming i would imagine in his business plan he was hoping to get or close to play offs this year and push on next year with his target to get in the prem within 3 years. So whos to blame is anybodys guess some are blaming the manager appointment of MA nobody was keen on Ginger Nut some think it stems from Taylors days.So we have the present manager who according to a lot on the forum is virtually blameless then we have the players which is a mix of Leveins/Kellys/Allens/Holloways signings.

MM never spent big at pompey not for a wealthy chairmen he was more interested in Frees / Loanees which i am not certain his good for any club i dont think they have the same desire to succeed has permanant signings.

I'm not one to rumour spread but..........I have heard from a reliable source (not my mums milkmans brother in law etc), my uncle is a liason officer at the Walkers and he reckons from working around the suites/offices etc that Milan has already sold the club.

Interesting.

There's been a lot of rumours going around for weeks now. I don't know if any of them are true but I certainly don't dismiss them.

This was after the Colchester game, also Martin George was at that game too.

Interesting eh? Also, remember that The Mirror said Milan would be interested in the club 3/4 months before it was announced.

I personally reckon Milan is going.

I don't see how that could possibly be true? We are spending millions on new players yet he has no money! Nonsense & Ridiculous

Life is never dull being a Leicestr fan is it?..

If this is just a rumor and mischief making from the press ect MM should be staright out and make his denial...after all he courted the press so much in his early days but other than a less than inspiring interview on Talksport the other day the silence from him is deafening... I dont care if he stays and sees the job through or sells us to anyone daft enough to buy us as long as we dont go back into admin...as many stated when he took over , the club and the fans will be here long after he has gone but some form of statement would go a long way to stopping this rumor dead in its tracks. :dunno:
