Will he finally get some first team football, that's the question.

Possibly at Yoevil

Knowitall, is this another short term loan?

Isn't he playing more as a winger now though?

Is he actually playing at all?

Don't like him.

He did okay v Villa in The home Cup match a couple of years ago....didnt really get a sniff after that :dunno:

funny really...well not funny for him...

Odhiambo's become fairly inconsequential in recent seasons for whatever reason. He has ability and a reportedly good attitude.

He just doesn't seem to have enough impact and, wherever he's been so far, he just seems to make brief cameos and then disappear from the scene.

I hope Yeovil proves more fruitful for him.

Eric has been at yeovil for a week and has now returned.

Yeovil have chose not to take Eric on loan.

I believe they are wrong.

Eric is at LEAST that standard if not higher.

Why is he not featuring in the first team squad here then if he is higher than Yeovil's standard?

Not sure if this is this tonight but: source

Glovers boss eyes Foxes striker

Yeovil boss Russell Slade hopes to cast an eye over Leicester teenage striker Eric Odhiambo in Tuesday night's reserve team clash at Exeter.

The 19-year-old has trained with the Glovers and is now set for an opportunity to impress Slade in a competitive game.

Tuesday's game is also set to mark the return from injury of full-back Nathan Smith and winger Aidan Downes.

Yeovil Reserves? The lad's a bit better than that!

Eric's problem seems to be getting a start anywhere he goes and I wonder if that's because he doesn't seem naturally assertive.

I remember when he first got in our reserves. Suddenly the skilled and elusive dangerman from the Academy didn't exist. He just played possession football and didn't really express himself at all.

Gradually, as his confidence grew and he got to understand his team-mates and his role in the side , he showed he could cause problems for any defence and was even drafted into our first team against Villa.

Eric's quick, he's a team player, clever in possession, capable of fast passing, he can shoot and he's got a great attitude from all I've been told - absolutely dedicated to the game.

Yeovil might do well to show a bit of patience with him.

I know that I just feel for the guy. First Southend, then Dundee, now Yeovil. I bet they're running amock with more skillful players than Odhiambo at Yeovil!

What are they going to see in one reserves game that they cannot see from training or from any number of videos I'm sure the lad's agent would have furnished?

Okay, I accept you could pretty well tell with Kaebi, Djiziri, Ferreira, Low, Bori, Sylla and that useless winger who came down from Scotland with Levein whose name I always forget. :D

But Odhiambo is better than those. Sadly though he does need a run of games to prove it, not yet another long period of neglect.

Joe Hammil ...

yes but perhaps they want to see how he links up with their players in a competitive environment, or just judge his match fitness ...

either way he will be playing in the same league as us so should he go there on loan and impress his 1st team chances here would be greatly increased you would have to assume ...

I hope he does go there. He should have left here ages ago. What a waste it was sending him to Southend and Dundee. We might as well have sent him to the Dogger Bank where at least he'd have got some action when the tide came in. There's no logical way he'll get in here under present circumstances.:D
