For example forget what now, was a few years ago but something was annouced about a player/about the club on the OS it was guarenteed by the sounds of it, it never happened...I forget what it was now, but it was similar to the Jani Sturm/Jason McAteer thing, e.t.c, but the diffrences of Jani Sturm and the thing i'm on about is that it was likly Sturm was comeing but not certain...it was never and never will be certain now though -Anyway...as I was saying I don't believe much now until I see it with my own eyes! I'll listen to the rumours and depend on what the rumour is hope its true but don't believe it!
Benji Posted 4 June 2005 Posted 4 June 2005 theres no reason to suggest he's not going to sign for us though is there so why not be true
supedaj Posted 4 June 2005 Posted 4 June 2005 which team in spain was apparently interested in him, does anyone know?

Steven Posted 4 June 2005 Posted 4 June 2005 A draft (of Dublin's contract) is being sent to Dion`s agent on Monday, there`s no reason to believe he won`t sign !

Ric Flair Posted 10 June 2005 Posted 10 June 2005 Just signed a 1 year deal with the blues. Leicester that is.
Shum Posted 10 June 2005 Posted 10 June 2005 Leicester City striker Dion Dublin has today signed a new one-year contract with the club. Dublin joined the Foxes on a free transfer from Aston Villa in July 2004 and went on to make 42 appearances in his first season, scoring six goals. The former England international was employed as a centre forward and centre half during the campaign, and was instrumental in Leicester's FA Cup run which eventually saw them knocked out of the competition by Blackburn at the quarter-final stage. His signing will come as a major boost for City boss Craig Levein as he continues to build a squad to mount a challenge for Championship honours this coming season. He said: "We are really thrilled that Dion has decided to re-sign. From the moment I came to the club he wanted to buy into what we were doing - both on the field and off it. "He has certainly more than merited the offer of a new deal and we are delighted to have him on board again for next season."
Wellman Posted 10 June 2005 Posted 10 June 2005 OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH LETS ALL HAVE A DISCO, LETS ALL HAVE A DISCO, LA LA LA LA!
davieG Posted 10 June 2005 Posted 10 June 2005 To be honest I'm not fussed either way, CL has said he wants to use him only as a striker. I would like to think that with Connolly and DeVries on top form and a younger striker busting to get in the team his appearances will be rare.
Fox in a Box Posted 10 June 2005 Posted 10 June 2005 LETS ALL HAVE A DISCO, LETS ALL HAVE A DISCO, LA LA LA LA! Quality all round, a very good workman and more to the point a very commited player! Anyone who dissis him doesnt know football. How many players do you know who breaks his kneck for the cause.!

Katy Posted 10 June 2005 Posted 10 June 2005 Loving that news - Dion is a fantastic aquisition to the side, for his leadership qualities alone. He should be made Captain IMO
Ric Flair Posted 10 June 2005 Posted 10 June 2005 It is good news, now Levein should concentrate on getting a young pacey striker in. With de Vries, Dublin and Connolly already on board we now need a young whipper snapper. If we sign Forster I fear for next season as I can't see what the point of us having 5 strikers and with us already having 3 if Forster signs I have a feeling that will be it on the striker front. Frightening!

Frightening! 121619[/snapback] here here yes a new striker is needed a young whipper snapper someone who cant hit the onion bag regular. but remember...Dublin, 36, played at centre-forward and centre-back last season and was instrumental as the Foxes reached the quarter-finals of the FA Cup. I'm so glad as I thought he took 2/3 months to adapt to MA but once CL was here he was lots better, my boss is a villa fan and he always praised his commitment. Surely Manure have a wipper snapper ready to loan out. Chris Eagles?
