eye666 Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 Read a Twitter rumour yesterday we were looking at Beattie. He's now available on a free after being let go by Rangers. I'd take him on a free... anyone else?
Ric Flair Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 Only if Howard was released, no point having them both. Beattie COULD still have something left in the tank but he'd need to be the main man at a club to refind it, I can't see him being anything other than a peripheral player at Leicester and that would just lead him to getting fat again and dis-interested.
John Matrix Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 vehement no from me fat useless twat with a bad attitude plus he headbutts bowls of muffins and fights naked pulis'
Dicko Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 Not in a million years, he was over the hill two years ago never mind now. Plus his attitude stinks, and he's not any sort of threat anymore. We're too good for him. If you can't score goals for Rangers, it's time to hang up the boots
Filbert_Ross Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 bit late for a Aprils fools gag aint it.
Guest parky0607 Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 Went to the blackpool rangers pre season game about a month ago and blackpool fans booed him, even though hes just gone back after a half season loan with them, so he must be bad
Thracian Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 I'd rather keep Howard. No we can do much better than that.
ian_marshall Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 The guys got a serious ego issue. I know a chap who was on Stoke City's books when he was there and he said they all went drinking one night following a game with Pompey and a Pompey fan was giving him stick as I think he either missed an easy chance or a penalty. Apparently Beattie walked up to the chap and said something along the lines of I might not be able to do that but you'll never be able to do this, and pulled out a lighter and £50 note and burnt it in front of the fans face before abusing the guy and telling him where to go. Do we really want players like that?

This seems to be a generic story that seems to pop up with an <insert name> option anytime someone wants to make the point about a player with an apparently over inflated ego. I've heard it several times over the years with various players, Lee Hendrie, Bellamy etc etc
wolfgang amadeus Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 Was crap for rangers, would rather not.

I've heard it several times over the years with various players, Lee Hendrie, Bellamy etc etc Who actually carries £50 notes round with them anyway?! Most places don't accept them these days. And if it is true, fair play to him, bet the bloke abusing him soon shut up. But I think we can do much better, there must be someone available on loan from the Prem who's better. A couple of years ago I'd have said yes, but don't think he's got any motivation to be any use now; he's made his money, had a decent career in the top flight and any move now is probably just for a little extra retirement money.
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 Who actually carries £50 notes round with them anyway?! Pikeys
Happy Fox Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 James McFadden would be a better option surely is a free agent anyones thoughts?
ithuriel Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 Maybe we could get him in, no contract and see how he trains and whether he still has something to offer. We are a bit light up front at present and if he would be willing it could not hurt. This is all just idol gossip anyway
CupidStunt Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 Who actually carries £50 notes round with them anyway?! Most places don't accept them these days. Your forgetting most pubs and clubs aint got no bog paper, so probably used the 50's to wipe his fat hairy arse with
