BENTHEBLUE Posted 22 November 2011 Posted 22 November 2011 Leicester played Burton Albion in a reserve friendly today and came out convincing 6-2 winners Leicester team Weale Berner Moreno Tunchev Panstil Banton Fernandes Moussa Moore Schlupp Chamberlain Stand out players were Banton, Moore, Chamberlain Dont think Pantsil will be in the first team anytime soon
Happy Fox Posted 22 November 2011 Posted 22 November 2011 Is Moore, Liam Moore? I thought he was at Bradford City on loan Good to see Banton, Chamberlain getting opportunities possibly could go out on loan to further their development and then push for the first team.
BENTHEBLUE Posted 22 November 2011 Author Posted 22 November 2011 Moore, Mernandes, Moussa, Banton, Chamberlain and Pantsil It was interesting to hear Pearson constantly telling the players not to lose the ball and "keep the ball" "keep the ball"
Tuna Posted 22 November 2011 Posted 22 November 2011 that reserve team would do a good job in league 1 imo. Moreno is still alive!!!
Libertine Dream Posted 22 November 2011 Posted 22 November 2011 I bet fernandes and pantsil were ecstatic that they could llay for the reserves. Two decent players stuck in the reserves every now and then. Gelson will end up going back or to Blackburn when sven gets there.
Nickfosse Posted 22 November 2011 Posted 22 November 2011 The abscence of Johnson and Ball and inclusion of Fernandes is interesting, unless they were injured?
BENTHEBLUE Posted 22 November 2011 Author Posted 22 November 2011 johnson was i believe scheduled to play but just before the teams were coming out one of the younger lads mentioned he wasn't so cant be sure but he was there think he had been training with the first team.
Nickfosse Posted 22 November 2011 Posted 22 November 2011 Thank you for all the information. Much appreciated. Wish we could all get to these games. Always enjoyed watching the reserves wheb I got the chance
BENTHEBLUE Posted 22 November 2011 Author Posted 22 November 2011 No Problems, i believe Liam moore is still on loan at Bradford ( i don't know why he played?) and will be returning tomorrow.Banton may also be returning to Burton on loan Weale.- Didn't have much to do distribution good Moreno played very well, moved the ball quickly and looked comfortable at the same time, Tunch distributed very well but the one time he had somebody knock the ball past him he just couldn't keep up. Bruno- Very solid Pantsil.- Poor, looked average at best although seems a nice bloke Banton- SKILLS. he forgot the balls a couple of times but has pace, confidence, and abilty to shoot & cross, i'd say next year he could be potentially pushing for a starting slot. Moussa - Played very well, Took players on , Created chances Fernades - Very busy, His link up play was very good Moore - Was very impressed with him, Very strong, good passer & done well at CB second half. Schlupp - started quitely but pearson was forever shouting at him to run in to channels which he did everytime a full back had the ball , Great movement Chamberlain- Tthis kid has a VERY good touch, some of the balls he was controlling were unbelievable.
Ross 'LCFC' Turner Posted 23 November 2011 Posted 23 November 2011 Can anybody go watch these kind of games? or is it behind 'closed doors'
thybluefox Posted 23 November 2011 Posted 23 November 2011 Cheers fur the player write up Ben, good to know how players are doing.
scousefox4 Posted 23 November 2011 Posted 23 November 2011 George Taft our giant centre half replaced Tunchev at half time & looks a quality player, funny enough looked equally as comfortable at full back when he moved position to replace Berner, i think this young lad has a bright future

Regulars who I know said he was about the best performer at the time
scousefox4 Posted 23 November 2011 Posted 23 November 2011 Dont know anything about this lads time out on loan at Kettering , but what i saw yesterday in Taft was a ball playing centre half with a lovely left foot who must be at least 6ft 6" tall , most players coming through the academy systems now have the same stature & ability , in my humble opinion i think they have a gem here, i just hope like the other quality young lads we have they are given a chance .
city1993 Posted 23 November 2011 Posted 23 November 2011 As a good friend of Tafty's I'd say on his behalf that he struggled at Kettering but had no support around him. He can play very comfortably at left back as well as centre-half, but prefers the latter as his height provides aerial strength. I hope to see him feature more around players like Berner, and Tunchev who will give him vital experience. Has a bright future but will be the first to admit he needs some work doing.
sphericalfox Posted 23 November 2011 Posted 23 November 2011 Were the Brewers' 2 goals long-range efforts?
