Fair play to Lookman he has obviously found a home where he is, he has a lot of freedom and as obviously enjoying his time there. Players have signed for us in the past that didn't fit in at their clubs and smashed it with us (Albrighton springs to mind) it's just apart of the game.

Barnes scored as many as Lookman and assisted 10 more times than Lookman in only a few more games.

He was with us on loan after a failed move to Germany. He wasn't exactly lighting the league up and was terrible in some games (like the rest a few others!) he didn't exactly make it impossible for us not to sign him. He scored 6 in 26 and had zero assists for us. It would have split this forum in half if we had signed him.

So many on here just look at ways to blame the board. It's getting a bit daft. Lookman was OK at best for us. Anyone ever thought that maybe Lookman didn't want to stay with us? He hasn't settled anywhere he has played in England and obviously needed a change. It's all getting a bit boring just finding ANYTHING to pin on the board.

Hopefully Chelsea or Liverpool early. Anyone with a new manager really. We have the longest pre season of anyone ( yes I'm counting the Blackburn game into preseason !) so hopefully we are more that ready when it comes to the first game.

I honestly don't know how all this gets sorted. Even if they throw the book at Man City surely all clubs like us go after them or the league too? It's over 10 years since the first allegation it potentially has a knock off affect of 50 odd clubs... It could literally go on for years and years.

I remember 2006 felt like everyone in the country was involved the shirt is iconic as pretty much everyone had one. I remember going over to Fosse Park and getting one they were £20 without a name and number and £25 with. Everywhere were selling them at the same price too. I think i actually got mine from Asda at Fosse Park! You basically had to book a spot at a local pub to be able to watch it no matter what day the game was or what time it kicked off. It doesn't feel like that at all now. People just moaning about a small flag on the back of the shirt and the cheaper shirt you can get is £85! The country just seems massively disconnected with the national team and even the press dont seem that bothered with them either.

not saying that, what i am saying is there should be an away point system. you should jsut get points for going to away games.

For me having a season ticket should have no barring at all on away tickets. It shouldn't be linked. Home and away should be treated differently.

could you see Arteta being tempted by Man City when Pep goes?? That job is hard to turn down for anyone.

agree with this, the only way is some how the Prem / UEFA or who ever gets their act together and rocks City a bit. But until then they will just keep getting stronger. Look at the players they moved on last season and they are still going to win the league. The crazy thing is they will be even stronger next year, they rarely miss when it comes to new signings.

Agreed i wouldnt back Villa at Palace. But i think Villa will secure it as i cant see Spurs winning tonight.
