I'm not saying the squad back then wasn't unreal but the teams we were playing were also unreal. There are very few European players that would get into our team currently. Southgate will not get it right he just doesn't have it in him.

We have the top goal scorer in Spain, top goalscorer in Germany and the core of the Man City team who have won the treble. At the time of the golden generation we had nothing like that. we lack in a couple of positions but the rest should make up for it.

8 years of Southgate and have we actually got anywhere ? Probably the best pool of players since 1996 and we lack so much. Just dull and typical FA performance. Until we get a manager with a backbone we will never change.

Not sure as full strength against a good team probably means Henderson in midfield under Southgate

For me the problem is there is very few fans that get what is going on. So people are taking little bits of potential wrong information and then either backing the club or wanting the club to burn. We dont need serious investment to survive in the prem, it isnt all that especially the bottom half.

They have probably been put in this thread a few times but at the minute so many people just massively overreacting it's quite worrying to think how some cope with every day life.

Doesn't matter, they weren't good enough to stay in the prem. Could have a 200k supercar and it still breaks down. Players value and wages means F all. They still need training correctly.
